Ok I am wanting to buy a new version.. But I am not sure which is better.. I have read alot on them, and am thinking towards HEM.

Also i have PT2 and have 110k hands there i want to move. The only prob. is I dont have a postgreSQl and i dont even know what that means. So is there a way where i can transfer my hands over. And your reccomendations on what to get.

I just purchased HEM and I'm very happy about it, although I did use the trial for PT3 it is much slower in my opinion.

Yeah I read all the PT3 vs HEM threads and decided to go with HEM and I love it, I can 24 table with no lag on my meh computer which I've heard PT3 is not capable of. HEM comes with an FAQ and tells you how to get your PT2/3 hands into HEM.

Either use the option to extract all HHs from inside PT, or if you have your HHs saved in a directory then just import them. You should always keep the actual HHs themselves, i just setup both HEM&PT3 to archive to a specific directory and they stay there forever.

Another alternative would be to ask w/e sites' support for a full set of HHs for your account.

ok lemme tell u wat i have and tell me if I can export still..

I dont use any postgreSQL, which i know i need, I am not sure if that effects it. I have PT2, and i dont think i have the rawHH b/c i export the processed files, then when i compact the database, it erases them.

So if I download HEM, I can export from PT2, and choose the file from HEM to load into, correct?

Ok what do i need to export or what..

I got the trial for HEM.. Now what file/folder can i load from HEM to get the hands in.

Ok loaded my hands.. it only loaded like 35k of my 110k, and only loaded since May hands. also had 2 names on a site and it only loaded 1. i did export 110k hands though

Did you try and look for this, pretty sure it walks you thru it? I am sure the HEM forums would be of more help on this matter...

I tried 3 of the 1,289 disappointing Betas for PT3...
And then bought Holdem Manager.

There is really no comparison whatsoever...
HM was designed and coded by genius level software engineer...
And is superior in every conceivable way.

The PT gang sat on their fat, larded asses 2004-2007...
And shockingly made ZERO enhancements of any kind to PT...
And now expects people to debug PT3 for them for FREE.

The phony, Draconian "refund" policy for a buggy BETA product...
Reads like a parody...
And would NEVER hold up under US Consumer Protection Laws...
But shows you the kind of people you are dealing with:

it does combine hands
if you run report under main alias or individual alias
my is allyasia (alias), allyasia (FTP), allyasia (IPK)
if you choose allyasia (alias) it will show combine hands.

PT3 is working hard to solve the problem too
they are good on changing their no refund policy to refund for players that have problem with the software.

HEM > PT3 now
I use HEM

I got tired of waiting for PT3 to actually start supporting the promised sites (originally supposed to be within "a few weeks" of the commercial release). I bought HM and am very happy with it so far. PT3 looks great, but without site support it's practically useless.

PT is in serious danger of losing it's leading position in the tracker market. They desperately need to hire some coders to get them through the backlog of jobs. It's a two man operation (probably with a fifty man income) that is starting to really look like a two man operation.
