Yeah. Especially for those of us who love poker. Windows 7 should preform better than even XP in most situations, and should absolutely smoke vista and XP when running multithreaded applications (Full Tilt, PokerTracker, Poker Companion, etc. etc.)

I contacted full tilt to ensure that my software will be considered 'acceptable.' their response was rather vague.

Hello,

Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker Support.

We have forwarded your email to our Marketing Department, and they will review your request.

Because our Marketing Department receives such a large number of requests, you will only be contacted if there is interest in your proposal.

If there's anything else we can do for you, please let us know.

Regards,

I'm not sure what marketing proposal they thought I was making..., or what the marketing department has to do with third party software in general. hopefully we will get a more straightforward answer eventually.

I tested the table highlighter on Windows 7 (Pro Poker Companion 1.04). It seems to work ok. The highlighting of the ACTION table actually works great.
However what do you mean with the "Active" table? Is that the table your mousecursor is at?

use the tab key to select the 'active' table. then pres c b or f to do an action. Its really only in place for two reasons... implementation of the shortcuts and to ensure that the 'active' table is on the top. Several people requested that keyboard shortcuts be implemented and this was the best way i could think of to ensure that when you press 'f' you dont fold pocket queens at some other table than the one your looking at.

Also, tabbing works well if you want to play 18 tables on a smaller monitor because tabbing should automatically bring the next table with action necessary to the front

Will you be implementing any other keyboard shortcuts like 1/2 pot and 3/4 pot?

absolutely. anything you can think of, although some of the more sophistocated shortcuts may require that you use the default table size. Up will increase the bet size, down will decrease. I will also make the layout configuration fully editable so that you can make more ergonmic personalized layouts if you desire. The more people who are interested in these features, the more quickly I will finish them.

I have only shortly played around with it with no real play time so it takes some getting used to. There is a little bit of a learning curve so a user guide would be nice at some point whenever you get everything lined out. Looks good so far. Is there a guide to using the basic features like switching between tables? Like I said I only briefly used it so it may be obvious with more time but since W7 is my main poker computer operating system it wasnt in the most ideal setup while I was playing around while at work. I would be interested in a 1/2 pot and 3/4 pot hot key and eventually it would be nice if you could assign other keys to the specific hot keys but that is probably a minor detail that is not as important currently. I would also suggest, as you mentioned, a custimizable grid layout to make them more customer friendly although FTP and PS handles this ok for now and it would be nice to be able to swap in and out tables with hot keys but I know this is already on your plan list. If I think of any other suggestions I will let you know. If you need someone to test for W7 once you get that version developed let me know.

a lot of the features you have mentioned are already available. the tab key switches through tables. The gridding features are already highly customizable. 1/2 pot buttons coming soon, along with a LOT more features this weekend. I just finished implementing the ability to customize the keyboard shortcuts, all i need to do is actually add a few more hotkeys. Before then, I intend to set up a system for manging the posting / unposting of blinds so you can mark a table as done and play out the remaining hands then it will be exited automatically. Also coming soon are automatic table shortcuts such as automatically taking a seat, automatically pressing the 'time' button, etc.

There is no user guide yet, but the website does outline how to use nearly all of the basic features. The more complicated features do not have an explanation yet, but they are somewhat self-explanatory to set up if you look through all the menus

So standard for FTP it isn't even funny any more. I would suggest you try sending it again, and hope you get a CSR that can actually comprehend what you are explaining to them.

GL with that.

Sounds like you have the most important features taken care of or on the way. Like I said, I havent been able to play around with it much as the only XP computer I have is at work so my lack of knowledge of the features or how to use them is highly likely due to that. If I get a chance I will try and play around more with them and look forward to your upcoming release when it will be able to work with my poker computer.

Are there any plans to support controller inputs(xbox 360 controller or other) directly or will joy2key/xpadder be required?

i am not sure. It may already work? I will see if I can come up with something. Joysticks should already work I THINK but I am no expert on how xbox controls work. you should try editing the shortcuts to the xbox triggers and see if it works.

The tablehighlighting is a bit too aggressive.
If you want to make a player note, it keeps stealing the focus from the "player note window".

For some reason I cannot seem to replicate this error. nevertheless I will add some code to hopefully fix this issue in one of the next releases. For now there is a very simple workaround: before you try to add a player note, click on the window's title bar so that it turns red and is now the active table. As for a more permanent fix, there are two possible options that I see,

1) make it so that whenever a table is clicked on it becomes the new active table, or
2) make it so that the active table follows the mouse cursor (this might get annoying)

At some point, I will probably add both these as options in the software, but the for now I hope that 1) will be enough

how can i disable some hotkeys? e.g. i want hotkey call "empty" and just use my mousewheel to increase/decrease in sb amounts. is this possible yet?

i recommend setting all of the hotkeys that you dont want used to something like escape. then you can use the mousewheel as if there were no hotkeys set. Unless you actually press a key, it will do nothing.

Hi everyone, I have some very substantial upgrades to my software that are available today. in version 1.0.7, support has been added for a variety of features that should substantially help with the benefit of using the poker companion software. Most notable, increase / decrease bet are now working. Also, when tables with action necessary will be automatically selected as the active table ( the table which receives keyboard shortcut actions).

I sat down today and played 8 tables in play money using nothing other than 5 keys on the keyboard; 4(fold),5(call),6(bet),8(increase bet) and tab keys.

The initial goal of PC for full tilt is nearing completion; the complete streamlining of the entire process of playing poker.

Nevertheless, there are still many more features on the way. Check back frequently if your interested

Any plans to make this ipoker compatible? As someone already said it's the 3rd biggest network.

sure, if tis the 3rd largest it'll be the 3rd site I add. Out of curiosity, what do you like about the site. My only experience personally is with FT, PS, and PP.

Also, I'd like some feedback on the latest features I just added. The functionality should be substantially improved (I will add a user guide to the front page soon)

The things I like are it the most traffic outside of stars and ftp, so it's easier to multitable there as opposed to party, ongame and the others. Also you can get huge rakeback/cashback there.
