I think you can only 16 table on FTP or have they changed that in their update?

Software sounds great btw, if you can get a table opener going it will be gold.

Hi,

I just put together a bunch of new updates for my software. Tables are now highlighted in yellow when action is necessary. Using the tab, shift+tab, and ctrl+tab shortcuts you can select one of the tables as active and use keystrokes to complete actions. Currently only folding is available, but within the next two days I plan to tweak the software to include keys for betting and calling.

Like before, not sure how this will all work on vista, still developing on xp, but most of my features are nearing completion. I hope you guys like what I've put together.

Hi,

My software now supports keyboard shortcuts (b = bet, f = fold, c = call). Also, the table highlighting features are improved and far more useful. For those of you who have tried out my software, please let me know how well these features are working. If there are any bugs out there I would like to patch them up as quickly as possible.

I have also posted a more comprehensive listing of features on the website at www.propokercompanion.com. This should help anyone who may be confused on how the software is intended to operate.

Thanks!

Will FTP add this to their allowed software list? I'm a bit paranoid about using anything not on Fulltilts list because according to some ppl they are a bit ban-happy.

Hey everyone. I know there has been a little bit of concern about whether my software will be allowed by full tilt. Before I began programming this application I personally contacted full tilt to make sure that my software would be allowed on their site. They replied with the following:

Hello Ryan,

Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker Support.

You are allowed to use any tool so long as you only download your own hand histories, i.e. you are not allowed to view hand histories for play on other tables you were not involved on.

In relation to your specific questions, we would ask you to provide the name(s) of the program(s) that you are referring to. We can then confirm if the program is acceptable or not.

If there's anything else we can help you with, please feel free to ask. We're always here to help.

Regards,

As far as I know, all the features that are in my program as of now are at least to some extent available in other applications (although I have tried to create the best implementation possible). Full tilt is aware of these software applications and as far as I know nothing similar to this program has been disallowed. If for any reason Full tilt does decide to ban Poker Companion, they will most likely ban use of an individual feature (although at this point I cannot imagine what would be ban-worthy). At that point, I would remove or otherwise disable the feature. All I've really done is streamlined the whole process of playing poker so that the least effort is necessary. I dont see how by any stretch of the imagination the software I have developed would do anything but please Full Tilt by permitting multi-tablers to play even more tables.

I understand the desire for automatic sit-n-go registration. I would love if you could describe to me EXACTLY which features you desire and I can try to toss something together. I could piece together a simple sit-n-go registration app from other components in my program but I would rather do it correctly. Any suggestions would be great. My concerns on this issue are how exactly to identify which type of tournament you would like to enter. Aside from the ovbious selection options of 'game type', 'buy in' etc. Implementing something like "get into any NL Holdem sit and go with 9 people and $1+.25 buy in" is not technically challenging.

I am largely a cash-only player (although occasionally I dabble and play 15 sit and goes at once). I would like some input from multi-tablers who play in the $1 to $20 range.

My goal is to make this feature robust enough to allow people to automatically register for free rolls (i know there are a number of people still stuck on play money that would love this type of a feature).

Personally, I would like to see a program do what Ft shortcuts used to do- being able to set exact perameters for sngs i would like to load. Specifically the following:

-set up for type of sitngo (regular, turbo, super turbo etc.) number of players, buy in and so on
- taking the above info and auto reg me into the sit n gos of my choosing-(auto clicking to buy me in and closing annoying lobbies etc.)
-allowing me to set time frame or number of sit n gos I want to play in a sitting and to continue auto regging for that period. Additioinally allowing me to set the number of tables to keep open at once
-closing tables and lobbys when i bust or win and continue opening so I always have max tables

Prolly challenging to do all this but it would be a great help to sng multitablers

thanks

What you have described is not too difficult to implement (half of those features are already available with the customizations built into my software). Nevertheless, I do not intend to simply copy any other software in existence. If I cannot do it better than it has been done yet, I will probably not attempt it and i certainly will not simply copy what someone else has done. That being said, I am sure I will find a way to incorporate the features you ask for and more into my application, keeping in mind that my ultimate goal is to have a cross-platform poker assist software, not simply a full tilt cash or sit and go opener. Check back in a week or so to see what I have come up with, as soon as i polish up what I have for Cash tables I will start working on Sit and go registration. After that, I will move into more interesting territory.... support for PT3 databases and potentially my own database system (in an attempt to create a vastly more efficient HUD). Those last 2 features will take several months to finish, a sit and go opener = 2-3 days. So I think you know which one will come first (:. Thanks for the feedback, I will do my best to provide what you have asked for... and more.

About halfway down the page they list PokerShortcuts, Fulltilttableopener and a couple of others as allowed software. I suppose if this program does basically the same as those they shouldn't have a problem with it.

Compare the FTP list of 'Some specific examples' to the Pokerstars list of examples, which has 70+ prohibited program listed.

Yes. As of right now, the table opener may still have a few small bugs in it (i'll get to it, nothing terribly hard to fix). Unforatuntely, I do not have a server running. Check back in about two hours and I will set up the server to run at all blind levels. Unfortunately, I do not have a dedicated computer as of now to run the server on. I will eventually set up several servers. If you like, you can always run your own server, I have it included with the beta version for now.

As soon as I get a computer running windows 7 I will resolve this issue. Until then... i guess your out of luck unfortunately, kinda tricky for me to debug without a working copy. I am fully expecting that I will have a test computer running windows 7 within a week. Thanks for the feedback tho, now that I know it is an issue I will look into a resolution as quickly as possible.

For those of you running XP, the table highlighting features should be working far more effectively as of today. I just finished implementing a more effective method of determining if action is necessary at a table. It has been tested using both XP themes (classic and the traditional) and both with and without racetrack mode enabled. for anyone running XP please let me know asap if the table highlighting isnt working. In addition, the tabbing (tab, shift+tab, ctrl+tab) features should be working fine as well as the keyboard shortcuts (c=call,b=bet,f=fold).

For those running Vista... I expect the same problems as Windows 7 are happening unfortuantely? Anyone tried this yet? Like I said before, I will resolve any of these issues shortly after everything functions properly on XP, and as of today I believe XP is running smoothly.

Anyone who is still having troubles on XP should let me know and I will work to resolve them.

Thanks!

I figured you wouldnt have it up and running with W7 yet but wanted to let you know since it is fairly close to Vista since you were asking. I will test out on my xp and possibly my vista laptop later to try and give you some feedback. Interested to see how good it works. Looks like a nice product. Keep up the good work!
