i got a 30 inch samsung monitor today from stars fpp store, but cant get it linked up to my laptop

blank screen and flashing led light on monitor

can anyone help me troubleshoot, ive been through the manual but no dice

On a mac... but did you check out the control panel ---- display option? I imagine there is some sort of "check for external display options". You should be able to "mirror" your other computer monitor or set up as external display. I would call the manufacturer of the monitor for a quick answer. GL

There aren't many laptops that can run a 30 inch at full res. They are all $3k+ IIRC.

This. I didn't want to be the one the break the news...that's why I just asked what kind of video card he had so hopefully someone else could do it if his laptop wasn't 30" capable
