After a little searching, I cannot find a thread that addresses this question, though I'd be surprised if it doesn't exist.

I'd like to track hand stats for a live cash game (for TV) in a spreadsheet to allow us to calculate VPIP, PFR, AF, Fold to 3bet, etc. I'm trying to get a head start on what the format of the spreadsheet should look like, or how we capture the data in order to be able to make these calculations.

Instead of starting from scratch, I'd love to benefit from the work others have done before me. I remember looking at the table structures in PT (first version) when they were in MS Access, but don't use the tool, nor do I want to play around in PostgreSQL.

Any thoughts, ideas, or previous work on the topic? Any assistance would be much appreciated.

make a simple database in postgresql / mysql, and a little web-form to input the data as it happens would be my sugegstion. that way you can just have the commentators or statisticians whatever just easily input the actions on an ipad or other convenient tool and bring up stats to talk about etc.

Take a look at Lyric's thread in this forum: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/45...-games-913832/
