Got everything running as admin. Still not having any luck. Works with camtasia up, but not camtasia in record screen mode even if stuff is not in the capture window. I am running windows 7.
a little more info. I am running camtasia 6. It has a hotkeys feature and I am wondering if it is interfering. I have set all hotkeys to none but not sure if they are really off.
Camtasia 6, PSC 4.032 free source version, UAC disabled, autohotkey installed as admin, no problems at all.

This is so annoying. I am using the both camtasia 6 and that version of PSC and running both as admin. I have changed Win 7 to the basic theme am running it with UAC disabled. Not sure what else there is left to check but PSC definitely works up to the point where I open up the "record screen" feature.
Thanks to Max1Mums for all the help so far. I'll keep playing with it and hopefully someone will have some more info soon. I am using a dell XPS 435. I can't figure out how it would be my machine though since both programs work independently.
BUMP? I am trying to create some free content for SNG players and can not make it happen with out PSC. Anyone who gets the answer will get the download link.
PSC never closes. It stays open, but just stops working. I am thinking of trying to take a look at Table Ninja just to see if that will work for the vids.
OK so Table Ninja and Camtasia work together. PSC is the weak link. However I will have to continue to use it until Table Ninja enacts a table display where I can see my stack size in BB. Otherwise I would switch over completely.
