Cake Hand History Converter Cake Hand History Converter

New version uploaded - bubba sent me some more problems he was able to find, they have all been fixed. (3) though still has not been fixed (if no small blind is posted and a dead blind is posted, the pot size is off in PT).

1.2.7 is uploaded. This contains more problems found with the small blind where no significant action occurred preflop, and it also contains a fix for histories that contain non-standard new line characters (such as those uploaded by some ftp programs using the wrong format).

is cake poker actually only dealing out 60 hands per table an hour? What do you guys show for # of hands per table? Just check your session notes in PT and then click Show True Hourly win rate and then for the column "Hands" go to the True winrate column and it should say how many hands you're getting per hour, then divide that # by your MT ratio.

For me it says 175 hands an hour on 2.9 tables on avg which = 60 hands an hour 6 max.

Hopefully this is just something that's due to cakes HHs not converting over the actual times properly and the winrates and everything else is accurate.

Cake's HH's don't have timestamps.

Python,

Yeah Cake histories have no times on them, so I have to estimate 1 hand every minute. Of course this will not be accurate, but neither will any other value I use.
02-16-2008 , 02:29 PM
Oh, but the standard # of hands for a 6 max table is usually 100 hands in 60 minutes though, can this be edited possibly? or is it easy to just modify it on my own? if it's too much work then nevermind I guess

I can make it configurable if that will help things. No problem.

1.2.8 uploaded. This allows you to change the hands/hr value. There was also a problem with some converters with tables that had "(6-max)" in the name, which caused positions to be all messed up. The converter now removes that from the table name (but keeps the 6-max designation that PS has in its histories). Finally, if there is a colon (':') in the table name, that is now converted to an underscore ('_'), since that also seemed to cause problems.

Cake just released an update this afternoon that changed the HH format - converter doesn't work on these new hands.

Ugh - alright, thanks for the heads up, I'll try to fix it up soon.

*edit*: looks like the only change is the format of the Flop line, can anyone confirm?

1.2.9 updated. This supports the new history format. I only saw one change (the format of the Flop), if anyone finds anything else please let me know.

I'm getting an error on most hands. The Unparsed line error on each hand is similar to:

player[5] : mucks [ 9d, 9s ] (9d9s)

I'm also getting errors on most hands. Unparsed lines similar to:

@@@ F_L_O_P @@@ [2s Js Qd]

I'm also getting errors on tons of hands now. And the hands that didn't have errors are weird - it's basically failing on all hands that go to showdown, as far as I can tell.

same error, tried 2k hands today and none of them worked

Please fix asap...also I'd like to donate, this program has been huge for me
02-21-2008 , 11:49 AM
where do we send money for donations?

I am trying this for the first time. I play only HU limit on Cake and don't play on Stars so when I found this I was psyched. However when I run the app. I get tons of errors. They include:

error finding big blind value
player[3 or 8 only] : mucks [9d, 3c ](9d3c) (cards are example but vary)
@@@F_L_O_P@@@[ 5dTcTh ]

I'm not sure what these mean or how to rectify them. There are thousands of errors though. I did try and import them into PT anyway and here are the error messages I got there:

File contains no Texas Hold'em hands or unable to determine what poker site this file came from.

No flop found for game #XXXXXXXXXXXXX.

Lastly and most importantly the numbers aren't correct once the import is complete. It shows me as being up 1K on the site when I am up over 2K. I hope posting these errors help. Let me know if you need anything else and I would be more than happy to donate if this becomes a useful tool.

If you have version 1.2.9 of the converter, you can do the following until a new version is released:

1. Make a copy of the HH file as backup (just in case)
2. Open the HH file in Notepad.
3. Go to Edit -> Replace in the menu
4. For "Find what:", enter "@@@ F_L_O_P @@@" without the quotes.
5. For "Replace with:", enter "### F L O P ###" without the quotes.
6. Click "Replace All"
7. Save the file
8. Convert and import as normal.

This is what I've been doing to get them imported for now.

Ty, the workaround works great, only got 2 errors but from being disconnected during a hand. Anybody know where to send donations 2?
