Did the mods in this thread stop working recently? Can't seem to get them to work now and they did a couple of days ago.

I don't know any solutions unfortunately. I tried sending a mail to the site I play on and they would forward it to the right department. I'm not sure how fast/easy it would be for them to fix it but I'm not really that optimistic.

If it was possible to make a small program/script that made a sound alert whenever another table took focus (when it is your turn they do this) then perhaps that was a possibility. But not sure how difficult that would be to make.

EPIC FAIL from BossMedia. Its just about a small .mp3 file, OMG.
If you're not alerted when its your turn you wont play the hand, if you dont play some hands because youre distracted with something else, so you generate less rake.

I haven't played Boss in a while (read never seriously), suddenly the just copy files into folder trick stopped working, is this due to some update or am I on pills ?

(Btw, any scripts for Boss?)

Hello everyone, I am playing on BossMedia since month (but also played here earlier before) and I was thinking about some mods. Generally I wanted only to change the cards, because their graphics are pretty poor on Mini View.

When I saw that there is a possibility of changing cards, I've quickly made some new. I used Fozzy Cards, originally designed for FTP. It was a really hard work to catch with screen shots all of 52 cards and then put them close together very carefully and finally fix the white corners (I am playing on OPoker with red tables, so my corners are red, but you can really quickly change them to another colour if you want to).

real cool stuff man.. i whish it would work for me. I play on paradise and i copy the renamed files into the data folder after starting software but before logging in. That worked for the tablemod.. but the cards wont change at all. DO u use a different way ?

I will write you step by step how to do it (works for me on Win XP at OPoker.com platform)

But first of all - what do you mean by "I copy the renamed files"? You have to create a .bat file, which copies it automatically.

How to do it?

1) Open Notepad
2) Go to you folder with Paradise and create there 2 folders: "_mod" and "_original"

3) Go to the "_mod" file and paste there my 2 images with cards - you can also put there any table mods, etc.

4) Copy and paste this to the empty Notepad file:

IMPORTANT: Look at the addresses - they are fine for me, but you have a different path, default should be:
C:\Program Files\ParadisePoker\_mod\*.*

But you have to check it.

5) Save it as let's say "boss.bat" or "start.bat", only the ".bat" ending matters.

6) Start you poker software
7) Enter your username and password and click Login
8) Now it's time to open your .bat file (if you will do it earlier or after opening even one table, it won't work !!!)
9) NOW GET THE MUNNIEZ FROM FISHEZ !!!

Unfortunately, you have to do 8th point every time.

In my C:\Documents and Settings\simon.LUCKY\Local Settings\Application Data\Boss Media\OPoker.com, I only see :
- history file
- note file
- options.cfg
- countries.lst
- filemap.lst
- srvmap.lst

I don't know how to mod and use the .bat
I 'm a pure noob but you notice this.

I had a little problem with the bat file but I manage to solve it.
For others:
If the bat file return this error: "'xcopy' is not recognized as an internal or externa command"

the solution is this:
Go to the System Control Panel, under Advanced, click the "Environment Variables" button near the bottom. Under system variables, make sure the 'PATH' is includes each one of these:
%SystemRoot%\system32;
%SystemRoot%;
%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;

In my case %SystemRoot% was C:\WINDOWS
