I have two stars notes files, each with a good amount of notes in them. Many of the notes are going to be on the same players. I'd like to combine the two notes files into one notes file (without deleting the originals).

In other words this script has to go through all the players in one note file, each time checking to see if that player is also in the second note file. If it is, it should concatenate the two notes together, with something like *old notes* in between them. If it's not, it just needs to copy the notes from the first file into the new file being created. After doing the entire first file, it should go to the second file, find players that haven't been done yet and copy them all into the new note file.

$20 for first person to make or point me to a script that does this successfully.

Can be done, but takes to much time for me atm

a quickhack for you is to backup the files first.
then open both notes.txt file in wordpad, remove this in the oldest one:
Quote:
PokerStars Notes
[2008/01/15 21:57:07]
Copy all other text.
Paste at the end of the newer file (that one you going to use)
Save file.
Now are old notes(if you have 2notes of the same user) gone, but you have still updatet your buddylist.

I understand that this is not really what you meant so maybe i can get half(10bucks)?

Thanks for trying to help, but the whole thing I'm interested in is somehow merging the notes that I have on the same player in both files.

alright, here's my script:

http://lizzy-net.de/notes/index.php

Just copy&paste each file in one of the texboxes, press submit and save the output in a new notes.txt or overwrite an old one.

Hope everything is fine with it
