WSOP 2019 1500$ O8 event - Page 2 - Omaha 8 Poker Forum

Anyone have any info on other special O8 tourneys that would be occurring close to the WSOP $1500 on May 30, 2019?

Not talking about the Orleans or other regular weeklies, but things like the Venetian DSE or Aria Summer series which have had nice $400-600 entry tournaments within a few days either way of the WSOP $1500 in years past.

I would like to maximize my experience for flying out there.

If you're not paying attention to Orleans then you definitely wouldn't want to play their $400 50k gt on 6/1

FYI - the RIO will run SNG O/8 the day before the tournament. Played 8 handed w/buy-in of about $225 (I forget the exact amount) and usually get off every 20 minutes or so depending on demand. They are very turbo but a great way to get a discount on your buy-in.

Usually a deal is made when you get down to 2-3 people but not always. For example when we got to 3 with roughly even stacks, we agreed the next guy out would get his buy-in back and the other two would split the $1,500. Since they pay you with three $500 lamers plus some small amount of cash (forget the exact amount), I took two and give the other guy $250 in cash. Netted about $500

Hi All,
I asked some tips to last year 1500$ winner. In a nutshell he said:
-Don't overfold on the flop
-Aim at the nuts in multiway
-Be more agressive
-Take your time for each decision
-Sleep well the night before

Nothing ground breaking but always interesting to have the champ's advice.
