I'll be playing the event, I realize Im not all that familiar on the board but would be interested in a meet up if one happens. Also, do I need to worry about available seating if I don't pre-register? It is my first wsop and Im a little unfamiliar with the whole process. I figured there would be plenty of seating available if I register the day of or the night before but thought it was worth asking. Im trying to stay on a budget and don't want to pay the fees that come with the credit card option for pre registration.

Also, I fly in on Monday and plan on playing the O8 event at the orleans that night as well. Was wondering if people had any thoughts on tournies at the orleans.

Don't worry they will be plenty available seating. Feel free to register anytime that's best for you. You can do it 24/7.

Possibly do the PH PLO8 on Monday depending on arrival time.

Sounds great, thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I don't fly in until 2:00 pm so I wont be able to play the PH tourney. However, if I don't make day 2 of the 1500 PLO8 I'll likely play the O8 mix tournament at Golden Nugget on Wed.

Had 17BB after dinner break, my peak stack. Folded to me in HJ and I limped (KJ)TTcc, CO limped, SB completed, BB checked. GII OTF of AT5cc. Turned out CO had bad AA (but had a low). I still had outs to FD, gut shot and quads, but it bricked out and he had me covered.

John Monette was very short as BB and had some sort of low hand (23xx). Kevin MacPhee had AA there?
I actually had ~17k, so ~34BB. Monette shoved for 2k, so I shoved for 8k. Even after Connor shoved, there was no way I could fold (unless I could 100% put him on AA). It was frustrating, because I had doubled my stack after dinner break through some gutsy plays and then came that set-up hand.

It was Connor Drinan that had AA.

I saw the hand below (5 left in this event) and was wondering if the player accidentally folded a chop? Unless I'm missing something, the only three possible hands he could have and get scooped are A6TT, A66T or A666 (and with Matusow having a 10 it's less likely that he had any of those three hands) ... unless the PokerNews reporting is wrong (it often is off a little). Would be a huge mistake if he did as he busted a couple hands later.

I'd like to run a hand by you all from this tournament:

Early day 2, 25 people from the money. I noticed 25 people had already dropped shortly after the first level ended, and expected to cash around the first break-. Villain was the table captain big stack, raising the most pots and picking on the short/medium stacks. The table dynamic so far had been one of zero folding to pre-flop raises. Always at least two or three people determined to see flops. Even all of the 3-bets and shoves I'd seen got looked up, so raising pre had become a tricky situation for medium stacks like mine.

Blinds are 800/1600
Hero (45k) limps AAJ7cc UTG, villain (200k) raises to 4k from MP, hero debates 3-betting but decides his stack is too awkward to do so and pussy-calls.
Flop: Q74r, Hero checks, villain checks
Turn 2, Hero checks villain bets 10k, hero nit-folds.

Hero secures the min cash an hour later but will always be left wondering how that 3-bet/pot flop would have gone. Maybe I should have just folded pre to begin with since I obviously wasn't willing to commit to most flops. I guess I was praying one of the short stacks on my left would go for it and I could flip safely, or at least bloat the pot so I could 3-bet enough to be comfortable getting it in on the flop.
