Where are US O8 players going to play now? Where are US O8 players going to play now?

i requested a cashout by check today from cakepoker and i will update when it is processed and recieved.

I would suggest everyone else do the same. I know they do this on the internet poker forums but it will be good to hear about cashouts from players i know and trust.

whatever you do NEVER POST THE NAME OF A PAYMENT PROCESSOR!!!!

I think Merge is pretty solid. Someone said you can only 4 table,
but that shouldnt be a problem for cash limit players.

Im on RPM poker..the actual rakeback goes up to something like 60%
if you play a decent amount from what i hear.

Traffic is picking up (Dont rely on pokerscout)...There is now
a 5-10 and 10-20 LO8 that goes daily...Not a bad start.
I would be surprised if the 25-50 doesnt get going here real
soon.

Merge play is also faster than Stars or FT was imo.

Guess I will try out RPM. All you other respectably decent players stay away.. oh wait, I probably can't fund the site anyways so who cares!

Seems like funding this site is a huge PITA. Everyone suggests WU.. any got another idea?

I used WU..

also if you sign up thru Rake the Rake your buy in bonus is $1000 instead
of $500..Might want to check that out.

Supposedly if you have a few successful deposits you get an invite
to use UseMyWallet which has 100k max deposit...think that applies for
US players too.

If Cereus collapses, expect a big run on withdrawals from Merge, Cake, Bodog. Unfortunately, things aren't looking good for Cereus. Non-US players are reporting delays in even receiving the meager $250 a week.

And the thing is, you have to wait another week to request another withdrawal until the previous one has been authorized. As bad as Black Friday was, if and when Cereus folds, it's going to be even uglier when articles appear about players losing so much money.

I don't really get your logic! Can you please elaborate how you get from (a) CEREUS going under to (b) run on Cake+Bodog+Merge

Easy. First, look at what happened on Black Friday, non-US players went in panic mode and withdrew like crazy from PS/FTP for fear of losing their bankrolls. Obviously, PS is paying out players and FTP will almost certainly follow soon.

However, if Cereus goes under there will be a panic that if the DOJ busts Merge, Cake or Bodog, that players might get stiffed there as well. A panic by US and non-US players. At this point, I'm surprised that any non-US players play at any site that takes US business.

Third, how many poker scandals do you need to not be worried? Jet Set, Eurolinx, Tusk, just to name a few. Now if you add Cereus to the mix, you don't think they'll be a run on cashouts?

Lastly, Cake already appears to be on shaky ground as slow cashouts have been reported for six months or so. Players confidence in the network isn't great.

This only makes sense if your theory is that the online poker world implodes, i.e., everybody stops playing, if Cereus goes under. I don't think such a theory is anywhere near realistic.

Hardly. If Cereus goes under, I have two theories:

(1) Players will see that the big 2, PS/FTP, were able to pay US players.
If Cereus collapses because of Black Friday, there would be a fear that others sites might collapse as well if the DOJ hits them with legal action. Cake in particular is already showing signs of financial distress.

(2) Non-US players would be very leery about playing at a site that might get shutdown because of future DOJ actions. Why would they expose their bankrolls when they have so many other options?

I've already written off my Cereus roll.... I feel bad for all players that have serious cash on the network.

Been crushing the small stakes PLO8 on Lock. Definitely softer than what I saw on FT. Can't believe what people call with....

I still don't really get this. When Black Friday hit, the DOJ had ALREADY blocked all the payment processors and frozen funds. Putting in a withdrawal request shortly after black friday seems like demanding that your money be put in limbo (possibly never to return).

I don't know how it works exactly, but the withdrawal options of direct to Visa and bank transfer were available to me, so I took both. They arrived in the usual time frame, so clearly weren't frozen.

people want to feel in control at all times, even when it adversely impacts them.

I won one of the 300 $100 free cash seats on Hero Poker during their $30K freeroll last weekend and even though it is a Merge skin the CEO of Hero Poker works with players with new ideas including more O8 if needed whether it is tournaments or cash tables. Find his thread under "Internet Poker". He is here every single day and really seems to make a difference.

Hi - I'm looking to play some NL08 and PLo8 in the US. I had played on Carbon poker before but awhile ago they had removed much of the play. Any other sites with volume here? Also possibly for tournies or SNG?

Thx

Bovada has very good HU PLO8 SnG action. At $25 you can pretty much always get action.
