Where are US O8 players going to play now? - Page 4 - Omaha 8 Poker Forum

ZOMG you have no idea, or maybe you do. I am beside myself right now. I have nothing to do and no desire to do anything. I think I might feel like a drug addict or a alcoholic on withdrawal.

The only good thing that has come out of this is I went to our local casino last night in the thoughts of playing live for the first time but they had no o8 games and the lowest limit they had was 4/8 lhe and I wasn't rolled for that so I played BJ for 6 hours and made $675.

But other than that I am so freaking bored. I have read every article on the net about poker. I have watched every parody I can find on you tube. I don't know what I am going to do to fill this poker need. Owell enough of that, thanks for being my online therapist.

To answer OP's question, I'm going to be playing at home and at the local cardrooms.

WSOP starts in 5 weeks or so. Should be the best one in a few years because of pent-up US dollars in play.

I'll be playing at Wynn and other Vegas casinos a lot more, especially once the WSOP gets here. Btw, I would definitely be in favor of trying to get the PLO8/Big O games at Wynn instead of at the actual WSOP this year. If others are interested in this, lemme know and I can start talking to people ASAP.

i will be in vegas starting monday, I will be living in the venetian poker room playing 8/16 or 15/30 if it runs, i will have my name on a list for 1/2plo8 if anyone wants to try and get a game going. Last year just about this time there was a plo8 game running there so hopefully we can get one going.

When you go to a place like cake network to play, there are a bunch of poker rooms that use cake network. My question is are you only playing against people from that skin or does the network share players from all skins.

I found a local weekly 1/2 plo8 game to play in. I get A234ds and flop 23K. I bet $12, guy on my left raises to $30, I flat. Turn comes 5 (yay!), I check, he bets $80, I call. River is an off T, and I lead enough to put him all in (about $175), he snap calls with A69J 4 suited. I think I might have found what I'll be doing now that online poker is done for

for any players located in the SF bay area.. ( i know there are a few on here), i highly suggest the game at the oaks on thursdays. I just got back from there and its really a great game. Its 6/12 on thursdays with a half kill. There were probably two tight players in the game, me n some old timer, everyone else there is just waiting for hold em or enjoys looking at 4 cards and cant fold. Lucky chances is doing the same thing on tuesdays but this seems to be a much better game since the 10/20 has died.

As far as live poker is concerned in the PA/AC area, the Taj often has a 5/10 full kill O8 game that goes during the summer, but it hasn't been going much offseason aside from some weekends. Parx has been getting a 4-8 game going but it breaks easily and sometimes they call the game but no one shows, so a few more players would help with the game's stability. Borgata's 10-20 is the most stable game.

Foxwoods in CT has a semi regular plo8 game going maybe 5 nights a week.

Sometimes a 1-2 plo high only game as well.

They have a feature on thier web sire now where you can look up the games running at any time online.

i always wished FT had put kill pots in their O8 games. it would have made the games so much better with a 3'rd blind, especially if the kill acted in turn. i love seeing a nit scoop a 10BB pot and then frustratingly post the kill blind UTG+1, have UTG raise it, nit calls, then it gets 3-bet on its way back to him. oh good times. on my way.

I really miss playing in my favorite tourney FT O8 PL $26 $4K guarantee (now 1K, NOT lol) on Sat nites ... can't even rail my fave players this weekend to learn.
