Does anyone know what the odds are of getting the hand 5's full or better in Omaha-8?
A casino I like to go to runs a promotional bonus for this hand.

I have just discovered Big-O and would like to encourage this game to be played. Therefore I am looking to see what hand in Big-O would be the approximent equivalent to 5's full in Omaha-8.

The minimum for the Omaha-8 jackpot is quad 9's. What would the Big-O equivalent be?

I don't know. It' fairly common in a full, loose game... I'd say around 20%... something like that.

That doesn't sound right to me. Do you mean fives full exactly or fives full or better? (Fives full exactly would be more rare, maybe around 2% at a full, loose table).

I don't know, I guess if you knew how often fives full won in four-card Omaha-8, you maybe could find what Big O hand would win the same percentage. It would depend on how many players were seated and how loosely they played.

I have played in casinos where the bad beat jackpot is quad nines or better beaten (by a better hand). In other words, to win the bad beat jackpot in four card Omaha-8, you would need quad nines or better and one of your opponents would need an even better high hand.

I doubt there is a bad beat jackpot for Big O. If anyone knows better, please correct me.
