Played the $800 Big-O last year and it was a two day event. Grabbed a bag around 2:00 AM. This year it is advertised as a one day event and I have concerns with how long this thing will go. The posted structure only goes to 14 levels, so I guess it could really ramp up after that......mostly curious if there is any chance they would have people bag and come back if it goes really late?

Seems extremely unlikely. If you market something as a 1-day event people will make plans under the assumption it is a 1-day event.

Only way I could see this happening is if all players agree - and Venetian might be reluctant to do that and risk complications with all the other scheduled tourneys.

yeah, I agree. Right after I posted this decided to model the structure in excel. Had to make assumptions after level 14, but I don't think it will be as bad as I originally thought.

I chopped the 1-day $800 plo8 last year. It had ~250 runners and ran until about 6am, which is several hours after the poker room "closed."
Structure at the end was gross--With 5 players left there were like 40bigs in play total.

I think I chopped that with you? If it was the one on June 4th? And yeah, can confirm it was around 6am and basically a shove-fest. I'll still be back to "defend" this year though
