Hi all,

Planning on grinding O8 in Vegas this year during WSOP.

Which place will have the best games? Rake? Promos? Comps?

Orleans?
Venetian?
Other?

Bellagio has one 20-40 O/8 game running regularly during the WSOP. The Rio can get two 20-40 games going.

Otherwise, only the Orleans will have games.

The Venetian hasn't had an O/8 game in years.

If you're looking to play 75/150, then Kings Lounge at wsop/rio would be only option. Otherwise, though I haven't played there, based on what I've heard, I'd prob go to Orleans for the 15/30 for the best value, comps etc.

I'm assuming the 20 at the Rio is soft, so as long as the dealers and rake/comps are ok w you, then you would prob be satisfied there. Esp if there is 2 games running as Dynasty noted. I don't think I'd grind 20 lo8 at the Bell, bc they would prob never have room to open up a 2nd table and I'd think the games would play slightly nittier/tougher than at the other two spots. gl

just came bak form vegas last week.

90% of our o8 action 4-6, 8-16 or bigger will be at orelans ainec.

venetian ran bigo 1-2 that had stack sizes ranging from 300-800$. this was a nightly basis.

Rio and bellagio at random times would run some bigger games. there was a group of bigo players from overseas and around that had a game every night at venetian, usually 2 tables og 1-2 running. I know rio was far more consistent with o8 than bellagio tho wrt bigger games especially at night

Not sure if this is still the case, but the orleans was pretty awful at spreading 15/30 the last few times i was there, even with plenty of interest.

Orleans is 10 handed IIRC
it is a locals card room and strongly caters to the regulars. I avoid that room..

O8 is essentially dead in Vegas unless you play $4/8 or lower or care to subject yourself to the issues above as related to the Orleans.. During the WSOP RIO will run $20/40 consistently and Bellagio less consistently will run the same.

The 20-40 and 75-150 (King's Lounge) at the Rio WSOP Pavillion Room do not seem to be great games. The players all seem very competent and capable. I do not think I have even seen 10-20 running at all.

The WSOP cash game/sng area has been decimated by all the tourneys that need their tables/dealers.

There has been 2-3 tables of 1-2-5 (5 on button) Big O running and 5-5 runs regularly but not all the time.

It will almost always be this lineup:
2-7 Triple Draw
A-5 Triple Draw
Badugi
Badeucey
Badacey
Archie (99+)
Dramaha 2-7
Dramaha Highdugi
5 card double board Omaha
Super Razzdugi
Super Stud/8

And then usually add 1-3 other Dramaha games:
Dramaha high
Dramaha 49
Dramaha A-5

And sometimes they add or substitute:
Super Razzdeucey
Big O

I might have forgotten a game or two but this is the core, and 10+ games is the usual.
