8 handed 5/5
100bb eff

Early limp, CO raise 20, I 3bet to 70 in SB with AdAs2d5hQd, BB cold calls, CO calls.

(215)
QsJs3h

It's not a good board for my range, I would check range if deeper.

Here with a SPR of 2 and blocking their calling range, I think it's fine to pot get it in.
Other options seem worst.

CO has a low pfr. This board is not good for him either. BB smash that board because he's cold calling high oriented hands.

In game, I check, planning to check fold against BB and get it in against CO which was a bad plan imo.

Would you agree?

Not so sure about this. BB should have tons of A2 with low cards.

I think both check-decide and pot are ok.

I think the As and a Queen would push me to pot. You can get some high equity hands to fold here, of course sometimes they smash it and you have a problem but **** happens

I am in pot-call camp as well.

CO has A2 a lot or A34 and I have AA2. That's why I think it's unlikely for BB to have A2xxx.
Plus, he was hesitating between calling and folding pteflop.

You mentioned it earlier. Your spr "is what it is" so you get it in. Yes, the flop sucks.

Get to the river to realize the equity of a hand like AA25X with your spr.

Well, at least you think those were the decisions he was deciding between...

Depending on the tendencies of the other players (do you have reads?), your blocking their calling range could make it worthwhile to check-shove.

Betting pot and getting them to fold lots of equity is great, but checking, letting them stab at it when you block their stackoff range, and then pushing them off their equity in a bigger pot, is even better.

In my experience, people who play preflop like BB did in this hand, are either passive fish OR they love to stab at high boards. I think your read on BB is the key to your decision. Why were you thinking of check-folding against him specifically?

Call pre. Fold flop 100%. As played fold flop alot I think because "BB smash that board because he's cold calling high oriented hands."

Because he's loose passive

Why would you chose to call preflop that hand?
What hands would you 3bet instead?
