Never seen any discuss regarding bots in PLO8 or O8 for that matter. Been playing PLO8 on WPN as or late due to the recent scandal regarding bots and colusion in NL, PLO ect.
Im thinking due to the complexity of the game that if there are they wouldnt be very good, but im not expierenced at all in the bot making realm.
Would appericate anyones thought regarding this on any site. Thanks
Tons of flo8 bots. Not just wpn; stars, Bodog too. I'm guessing it's easier to program a limit bot. On the bright side, some of them are pretty bad and very beatable.
Be wary players who snap all decisions, and sit out if not Hu.
Depends which kinds of bots you're talking about, most are nothing really to worry about at least for a few more years at least. One particularly nasty variety are the colluding plo bots, anything with that degree of AI sophistication combined with the unfair advantage of eliminating a decent % of the deck...doubtful many people could beat something like that long-term for o8.
For higher stakes, the bigger threat is still software-assisted humans.
