I've spent 2 month in Hawaii. Did a language school to improve my english but actually it was more like vacation than school

Big Island (Hawaii) was definitely my favourite place. It was breathtaking to see flowing lava.

That would be my dream vacation i think.
Did you go surfing too? I imagine it must be part of the school curriculum in Hawaii.

Hey Buzz

We booked a guide who hiked with us for around 6 hours. He took us first to a lava channel and afterwards we were able to observe the lava flowing into the ocean by night. Meanwhile he was explaning a lot about hawaiian culture, "recent" volcanic eruptions and geology. He was a nice guy and said that even after having seen it for 1000 times he's still fascinated by the lava.

Haha
The guide showed us were it should be save. I was standing there for maybe ten seconds because it was that hot. Just for the picture, stupid tourists

It was mine too. I went surfing for maybe 10 times in the first 4 weeks. It was a lot of fun. Unfortunately there were almost no more waves for the rest of my stay.

Ah! I wish I'd thought of that. The closest we got, and I thought were allowed by the park rangers to get, was about a mile away... I don't know... maybe it was only a half mile away. But it was no where near close enough to feel the heat or see the molten lava. All we could see were the clouds of steam created when the molten lava crashed into the sea. It was very interesting, but nothing like what you got to see and experience.

I believe it.

Fascinating tale and neat picture. Thanks for sharing. I'm jealous.

carzy how devastating hypers are. was going towards a 1600+ finish for the high orbit of 15$s with 80/100 already in the books (solely hypers). now 10 game losing streak with horrible bubble beats... It's like someone is sitting there and destroying every player that gets his hopes up too early.

this is a pretty obvious spot for you to slow down and play low variance games. Something like 9-man non-turbos would be preferred, but even 9-man turbos would be fine. Heck, you'll have even lower variance playing a random NLHoldem non-turbo just because of the insane variance associated with hypers.

I've done this so often, just to see me brick all the 9-man KOs I play. And I used to play thos a lot in my early SnG days. I promised myself last time that I'd stick with hypers if I try to make a score with a very decent start. That's life I guess, but it still seems odd to me that I every premium hand holds up for 80 games and afterwards I lose every hand with AA to KK or AK2x to random Axxx hands

A bit harsh:

ProPokerTools Omaha Hi/Lo Simulation[/URL]
600,000 trials (Randomized)
Hand Pot equity Scoops Wins HiTies HiWins Lo Ties Lo
a2k55.24% 215,468281,25538,836181,59251,619
a44.76% 153,149279,90938,83682,47851,619

So much harsher:

I hate when this happens:

Poker Stars $1.40+$0.10 No Limit Omaha Hi/Lo Tournament - t10/t20 Blinds + t2 - 6 players
DeucesCracked Poker Videos Hand History Converter

MP: t542 M = 12.90
CO: t532 M = 12.67
BTN: t466 M = 11.10
SB: t426 M = 10.14
Hero (BB): t538 M = 12.81
UTG: t496 M = 11.81

Pre Flop: (t42) Hero is BB with K A A 6
5 folds
Final Pot: t42
Hero mucks K A A 6
Hero wins t32
(Rake: t10)

Edit: 10 returned to me. It's a tournament for Christ's sake.

ROI 25% is maybe a little more realistic than 40%

Posting this because I hit the top line for the fifth time. To where from now?

are there any players with 10% with at least 1000 games?
are 1000 games enough samplesize to judge a players skill?

I don't think 1000 hypers is even close to being statistically relevant.

I know a guy who has had that for years.

This year he has >100% so far and I am not even sure if he is any good.

these games have been around for 10 months now, I think... Either you're talking about O8 SnGs in general, which might be achievable in specific types or you mean NLHE hypers, which I would doubt as well.

I have 9% over 35,000 games but that's mainly 7's and 15's. At the lowest levels you can top 10% if you know what to do.

No.
11% over 5,000 games, with mainly 3.5-15 (avg. buy-in $7.5)

Yeah, I am in the wrong thread, I have no idea what ROIs are like in hypers.

It must be hard to sustain anything with so much more tilt involved.
How you guys cope with that?
Aren't these hypers too much like a regular job?
