For fun, actually scanned through my 1.2k games, found five wins in a row once and four in a row twice! Would have guessed there wouldn't be more than three anywhere

Don't know where else to put this but thought I'd ask. What are the higher buyin hypers like? For the most part I find the $15 and lower to be shove and holla ballz. At least the hands go quick lol. I could easily find out by watching one but at this time of night, who knows how many hours it would take for one to fill up.

Honestly they are just the same if not WORSE. I've played only up to $200 but I rail some of the $500s. Total shove-fest. If you can afford the buyin, spend it more wisely.

IMHO sometimes the lower stakes games are harder to win than higher stakes - e.g. the hypers I just talked about but take a $3.50 18-man and compare to the average $30 18-man turbo. I swear most of the $3.50s last until 400/800 and higher, whereas the $30 are usually ITM by the time the ante starts.

In general I find the opposition gets progressively more aggressive as buyins increase. Add much aggression pre to an OH8 flop and the majority of pre-flop raises (if not all-in) are all-in on the board @ higher stakes = quicker games.

Looks to me like you got a good answer to your question, and since you did, fine. But I don't think everyone who scans this forum reads this trash can thread.

In general, when you don't know where to put a post, start a new thread and state that you don't know where to put your post (just like you did here). A mod will either move your post to a more appropriate thread that already exists or leave it in the thread in which you posted.

Games definatly getting more traffic which is nice to see. Would be good if bokkie can get onto the any game, any stake leader board on SS. That would definatly generate some interest. I wonder how far he is off it?

Now that the bop promo is finished i would of thought they would of done away with the sng leaderboards, i wonder if any future promos will be based around it.

Already alot of interest from hold em players/plo players. I can see this growing the game although a few players may go broke in the process.

What time of day tends to get good traffic? Might have a lil dabble this week.

History falsification

That was me, on February 14. I thought the scope of the posts had gone beyond "The official pokerstars HyperSnG trash can!" I thought dropping the "HyperSnG" from the title would more accurately encompass the scope of the posts. It simply did not occur to me that anyone could possibly be offended.

And I think the new title better reflects the content of the posts. That is I don't think all the posts pertain to HyperSNG contests.

However, it's not a big deal for me. If booink, the originator of the thread, wants me to change the title back, I'll oblige him. No problem. (Just let me know, booink).

There certainly is some overlap and some posts that probably belong in the monthly miscellaneous thread (aka monthly no content thread) get posted here. However, this thread turns out to be one of our most popular threads. I'm certainly not going to close it.

Might be an idea to have two threads, a monthly miscellaneous thread and also a trash can thread (but not specifically for PokerStars). We also have the very popular "Let's Talk About Regs: Stars/Full Tilt" thread.

I don't see how changing the title of a thread to make it more accurately reflect the contents of the thread falsifies history. (Maybe I'm missing something).

Your opinion on how to moderate the forum, whether we agree or not, is always welcome.

My own interest in this forum is learning how other Omaha-8 players think, especially with regard to Omaha-8 tactics and strategy. For example, Rush17 recently helped me a great deal in this respect. (However he's thinking is probably similar to how some of the better players in my own games might be thinking).

I think i prefered it as a hyper thread. With there being threads "stars regs" "monthly LC" and "18 man thread" having a hyper thread fills all gaps. seems like you have widened the scope of this thread which has been popular to drum up traffic. I feel this could possibly a) kill traffic across rest of the O8 forum b) tard up this thread.

The only idea with this thread was that hypers were a bit dominant in the miscellaneous threads.

I didn't like the expresssion "trash can" to begin with, but because I jumped on the train with Sng hypers, which happen to be at Stars, I accepted it. To have a thread called "Pokerstars trash can" doesn't make sense.

Which site you are playing at can't be relevant in a strategy forum.

I agree, i think this could work. Change this back to the hypers thread. Then there is an 18 man thread. Change the talk about stars regs thread to a "cash regs thread" and possibly start a tournament thread. Then the misc thread covers all LC stuff.
