Wrong. It does. It stands for I Call Mate. This hand is standard for ruskiland.

I achieved two poker 1sts against ruskis this week. I was i) slow played by one ii) I managed to bluff one.

I succeeded in number ii) as well this week in NLHE. I was celebrating like I was winning the sunday million! I obviously showed him that I bluffraised the river, giving him about 3:1 odds. The very next hand, he is in the SB while I have AKo in the BB. He min+1 raises, I min-click it back and he instantly ships 45 BBs effective. I snap him off, he shows K9 off. You can imagine what happened next... No justice in poker

You've got to be kidding me... Are you seriously complaining that villain scooped that one?

Villain isn't going to get it in in much better than he does here so why would he fold? Provided you don't have a ridiculously narrow shoving range, basically aces and aKKx, he absolutely made the correct decission.

The only mistake in this hand, is hero's shove. With effective stack size of around 16.9BB, it does not make sense for hero to shove this wide. Your hand sucks, and you gain very little from doing it. Blame yourself for potentially bubbling yourself in this sit 'n' go.

Recently, I've played a few 12-tabling sessions of omaha h/l hyper sit 'n' gos, and a few things annoy me.

        1. The tournament lobbies. Every time you register to a tournament, the tournament lobby automatically pops up. Can this be turned off?

        2. Confirmation of regisrtation. Every time you register to a tournament, a window pops up reading "Registered." You have to click "ok." Can this be turned off?

        3. Upon elimination from tournament, a window pops up asking you if you would like to register to an identical tournament. If you click "Register", you're immediately taken to the tournament where you have to click register again. I have timed out at the other tables while doing this. Is there a way to make the first time you click Register (the window that pops up after you were eliminated from the tournament) enough? As in, you don't have to click "register" once again. To have your ATTENTION shifting to the lobby like that is really disruptive.

PLO8 is mostly dead these days because NL is what the average depositor prefers so its either adapt and play NL or never play. To blame pokerstars for this is silly. They offer both PL and NL. Players choose what they want to play. Are you suggesting they eliminate NL? That is surely not happening. Before Hypers were added at the end of last year a single table O8 sit and go regular did not even exist so its not like people can blame hypers for killing off plo8 sit and gos either. They were already dead.

Some PLO8 lovers like yourself just do not get it. Sure you love PL and slow speed sit and gos but what you need to realize is that the majority of people who play online these days disagree.

The PLO8 sngs aren't totally dead, some heads up ones are running . But otherwise I agree. I soon don't bother to go and check out anymore. I will stay a cash game player, but sngs would have been exciting, would maybe have specialized in them to some part, feel I have something of a tendency to know how to play them. Not taking the step to nl though, just trying to beat the plo8 cash games is enough for now.

Besides high variance is actually a blessing in disguise since it keeps fish/ bad regs clueless for much longer periods of time before they figure out how much they are donating

This looks fair. They get to choose where to lose.

And I get to choose where to be a marginal winner...

If you can't see Bob is virtually the best hyper player going, then you need to study the game more.

Hint: Do you know Bob's HU sb shove% HU? I am guessing you are calling way way way way way way too tight and when you do call, losing to a hand where you are only about a 55% favourite or something. You eventually call with your top 30% hand and see the stuff he is exploiting your ass with and can't understand why he would shove that ****!! Am I right?

        Welcome to hypers.

You should adapt your playing style in those. As far as I recall, you play those the same way you would a 7.

I think I played fine for the most part . I was previously up 5500 in the 500 or so 100s I played before today and my roi is still at 4.5 in 100s even after today. I'm just chalking it up to variance. I was due for some run bad at those stakes.
