Yes, at one point the hypers dominated the monthly miscellaneous thread that much that someone constructed this thread, giving hypers an own LC place.

I got caught by them also, let's see for how long. They seem to suit me, ABC a great deal of the time, looking what comes, at times real decision making. Often quite tough heads-up battles, have a fear-love feeling for them.

It would be great to have a guy like this, give O8 a push. I can't tell you the amount of time/enjoyment I've gotten out of reading Josh's threads over the years.

Thx, appreciate the kind words! Too bad that era has come to an end as I don't foresee me ever doing another pg&c/2p2 blog again

Got around to getting the hm2 omaha upgrade, was waiting for my EV to be down heaps already in my lol_25_game_sample considering I'm barely paying attn to the tables and usually mass tabling, but must be running good in CD!

Still have no clue what I'm doing, srry if I've made bad bubble calls . Would love to figure out how I could quickly study some spots, but really have no idea so will just probs not worry about it and keep blind clicking away

Yesterday the record traffic was for all time in the Hyper h/l.
200-500 per day played more than 1.5 months before.
8K VPP.
For this we need 4 people to be constantly in the registration.

ps

Yeah traffic was insane yesterday. Sorry to fall out of the lineup today, but needed a day off after playing 14 hours yesterday. I think the long term prospects are good though with you, me, bookie, and vandirek all playing consistently. If one of the cash players decides to become a consistent 5th player then days like yesterday might not be so rare after all

Hello Jellyfish,

Yeah that's right - I remember meeting you at that plo8 torny (£40 or something I think). A few other forum members were there too - Ichbin and Grimiscool - maybe some others I don't know...

I moved out of London a couple of years ago - much prefer the pace/ cost of life up north Not much live o8 up here though AFAIK although I doubt I would be bothered to play anyway - it's too much of a bus man's holiday after spending all day on line every day.

What about yourself? You getting much action down there? I do like the fox club it's got a nice atmosphere. There's the new pokerstars hippodrome as well isn't there - maybe next time I'm in London i'll check that one out.....

Thought so, quite a few years ago now! I know Ichbin very well, and Grimiscool I've seen a few times but don't know him that well. Used to really enjoy going up to the Fox for the occasional o8 comp, nothing major (entry/prize wise) but a few beers and always good fun. Presume you knew it all shut down, then Genting bought it and I don't know what the full story is now, I haven't been into town for a long time...

Never been to the hippo, even though it's not exactly far from me! and I know the 'Head of Poker' who works there. Should really get off my arse and away from online at some point....maybe next year ;-)

U mean u want to PAY someone to coach u @ like $60/hr? Trouble is the guys u really want to pay are worth > $60/hr

If you want some free tips and general advice, read some of Buzz's posts on 2+2.

Best value PLO8 learning games? I would suggest the satellites to the main PS and FT tourneys - most of the big ones are PL and there is also FL. Unless you go mental, $60 should last you an hour on several of those at the same time and you will come up against many (50%+ I'm sure) of the players who have already directly bought into the main tourney. Make sure to use an HUD or OPR/SC (and also the lobby of main MTT) to check out the competition at your table. Target the guys with high ROIs and awards @ OH8, then basically copy what they do. After 1000 games you should no longer require a coach.

If u still want to pay someone - I posted a list of some good OH8 players on 2+2 who would be capable. Not sure if they would be willing though, poker takes up a lot of their time.

If you want an absolute beginner's guide, Phil Hellmuth covers all of the most basic OH8 concepts in his book - which u may be able to source online for free

your post was actually quite good advice until advise him to pay people on your 'list' money for coaching. I wouldn't recommend paying some of them 6 cents an hour nevermind $60.

sorry but all coaching requests by 2+2 rules have to be in the coaching forum, so please end the derail here, thanks
