here we are!

here are some questions to start the blabbering:

-where the **** is the traffic?

-where is wadzon?

-when will angribob realise that i´m totally off my game and start sitting with me again when i happen to play a bit?
bob, i´m not happy to have you in my tournaments but it is better than having no tournaments at all!

-when will macr0s bust his cashgame roll and come back? (i hope never;p)

-when will e-run move up?

-when will J_J ship me the chipEV he owes me when being HU? ;O

1. Talking strat is trash? Is strat allowed in the trash thread?

2. Can I talk about hyper turbos in a hyper turbo thread in this one?

3. Will this thread be closed down if I do any of the above?

Let's kick this off Booink is rubbish . Trashy enough?

When will Stars remove Angri's run god?

How big a b/r will I have to build to start playing $30+ and stop being such a b/r nit?

-Is there a format more over run by regs?

- will this thread be populated by only the same?

- even though I'm losing in pretty much every other form of poker, I've stayed profitable at NLO8, so you're stuck with me. This is not a question?

sooner or later everything lands in a trash can so go ahead ;p
2. Can I talk about hyper turbos in a hyper turbo thread in this one?
that is the plan, like in the 18mans thread
3. Will this thread be closed down if I do any of the above?
i asked buzz and he said he is okay with it

i played like 15,5k tourneys in the first 3 months of the year and starting from april 1st till now about 3k. a lot of hyper sattelites for scoop are included into that (i was down 1k$ for scoop when i hit a heater for ~2,5-3k$ on one evening). for me knowing the icm spots gets better when i put in more volume and since i didnt do that for months now i m feeling very insecure in my decisionmaking.
When will Stars remove Angri's run god?
angri already had a downswing@the beginning of this year. wasnt it sth like his first losing week ever or so anyways he was so disappointed about it that he quit playing breakeven/low roi lineups and stepped down in buyin levels

at start of session look at your BR. if it is bigger than 750$ go reg for as many 30s as the difference is. same for 60s and 1500$ and 100s and 3000$. remove all sharp/dangerous items out of your reach when doing this approach.auto-aggressive behaviour might occur.
@badastronaut: i dont know what is wrong at the moment but it feels like there are not enough regs and the traffic suffers. maybe because of the summer, maybe because other regs moved on. the games were more healthy 3 months ago imo.having to play vs. 3-4 regs can be tough but it attracts other players a lot more when there are 4 ppl sitting in a lobby than one.

yesterday i was playing and traffic was okayish-at least 15$ popped. then i had to take a quick toilet break and when i come back the traffic just stopped. maybe one 7$ in 5 minutes opened up. was sad because i wanted to put in another hour or so :[

What does this mean?

"at least 15$ popped"

On the weekend I had no shortage of $3.50 and $7.00 traffic and actually ran well. I made some loose calls to get an idea of the utter trash that schachdoctor/e-ran and some of the others shove with when 3/4-handed, and I don't really have much of an approach other than shoving pre with the regs or min or 3xBB raising from cutoff or button into people I don't know. I am still deciding whether to do this with any 4 or only with cards I'd otherwise shove/call a shove with, in the hopes that I can get some guys to shove all in on my weak-looking raises. I have not figured this out yet. And I'm basically giving away my thinking to the people that already beat me in this game. Hopefully I can learn some more ICM-related stuff and actually improve at this game. One thing I think I have learned thus far is you just can't be too tight with your shove-calling range when 3-handed, as the regs will blind steal all the way.

-where is wadzon? Oh how I miss wadzon

-when will J_J ship me the chipEV he owes me when being HU? ;O Cmon now everybody knows nobody runs good against me

I often see him when I'm playing around 10pm, UK time... obviously later for German/Dutch/Scandinavian players. I think I saw him earlier over the weekend. And almost every other god damn time I look at those lobbeys :P

Yeah I'm usually playing between 2pm et and 9 pm et so I'm sure that is probably quite late for yourself.

@J_J, what do you attribute your runaway success to the most, when it comes to volume, stakes, approach to the game, thinking about ICM, or just general terrible play the opposition? I mean, your 2013 profit is like $7k more than booink's...

Why don't you like Booink's BRM advise? I love his BRM, its so much fun when at
the start of the day he's "rolled" for 200s and in the middle of the session only
"rolled" for 60s just to end up being "rolled" for the 300s at the end of the day
Quote
07-16-2013 , 10:02 AM
i´m never rolled for 300s i´m taking shots or i´m chasing losses
Quote

Just tried to make a point, could have started with 60s down to 7s and up to 100s
if you preferred that

Dimmkp sitting out in bb and sitting back in when it gets pushed to him and he finds a hand. that´s how desperate some of these people get.

To be fair I have played more volume than anyone and with me I have always considered experience the best teacher.

When you've got more than 1k chips do you ever take as long as possible to make a decision to squeeze that extra few seconds out of the tournament clock and hence more blind pressure on the others? Is this cheap/frowned upon/valid strategy/stupid thinking?

I would not recommend it and it's not really an option for me either as I stack tables so I need to always be making decisions in order to bring up the next table.

I think this is a needless and bad call at this stage considering stack sizes. I could be wrong but I think it's not quite as any 4 as villains hand is. I think I would fold it and keep my good position as that hand is really unlikely to scoop.

    what ya think ladies?

close, I guess. he has a pair, some (weak) low and a Q for high. I don't think it's horrible, but he still needs 40%+ to make it profitable, right? can someone simulate that hand vs billy's range (maybe top 60% of hands as you sould be pushing very wide)

Do you have a lot of history v this Villain? Maybe he is showing that he is willing to call wide to tighten your shoving range in similar spots?
