This was in a recent .10/.25 Big O H/L game on Stars.

I am relatively new to Big O. Although there are some aggressive players at the table, these players struck me as quite loose and just splashing around.

Dealt to Hero [Js Jd 2c Ac 7s]

Button : Hero: raises $0.25 to $0.50
SB: Villain 1: calls $0.40
BB: Villain 2: calls $0.25

*** FLOP *** [7h 8h 3c]

Villain 1: bets $1.77
Villain 2: calls $1.77
Hero: call or fold

At first, it seemed like a good flop for me. While I don't pretend to be the best handreader, when Villain 1 donk bet the pot, I remember pausing and thinking that it was out of character and that he really liked his hand - I was thinking that maybe he had a nut lo as well, two pair or a set. Who knows what Villain 2 had ? Normally Villain 1 is a check-call or minbet kind of guy.

If this read is accurate, how nitty would it be to just fold and lose 50 cents given that there aren't a whole lot of ways for my hand to improve (2 outs to a set, 2 outs to trips and a couple of runner runner straights - plus I have a naked lo) ?

I don't know if I'm overthinking and if I am being influenced by the outcome of the hand, but I am starting to realize that these early decisions quickly get amplified on each street. Or maybe a fold is standard.

I'm curious what others think.

Are you 100bb deep? In general I wouldn't recommend folding nl+overpair+bdfd against people you don't know very well.

Call and play turns in position.

Thanks for the replies.

Here are the stack sizes :

Seat 3: Hero ($41.28 in chips)
Seat 5: Villain 1 ($21.39 in chips)
Seat 6: Villain 2 ($10.14 in chips)

As I said, it's .10/.25, so $25.00 is 100BB

Maybe I'll play out the rest of the hand...

So I did call to see a turn.

*** TURN *** [7h 8h 3c] [5s]
Villain 1: checks
Villain 2: checks

I don't really know what to think, other than Villain 2 doesn't really like his hand, but I don't want to build a pot...

Hero: checks

*** RIVER *** [7h 8h 3c 5s] [Td]
Villain 1: bets $6.86
Villain 2: folds
Hero: ?

I hate this spot.

What’s the problem? Easy call, sometimes get 1/4 1/2 or 3/4

Yes, just a 0% stress spot, click call and see how much you get. Absolutely nothing to hate in this spot.

Also I mean what did you expect when you called the flop? Turn makes some straights, sure, but isn't an overcard to your overpair. What were the turns you liked anyway? Three sevens and two jacks I suppose.

It getting checked to you OTT signals you that they aren't as strong as they claimed on the flop. Still I think cback is fine, intending to fistpump call most rivers.

It's a call. A lot of the time you're going to be freerolling the high and have the low locked barring A or 2 runouts

How bad is raising the flop, and then villain-1 3!, villain-2 flats/folds and you 4! jam???

How often will/should villain 3! if you raise flop?

Asking for my cousin's friend.

Pot pre instead of minraise. If this were a high stakes game vs a better player is jam river terrible? I want to do something with our JJ blockers but I guess with our hand its just no good to consider?

I think blockers are very close to irrelevant in these spots.

I don't think hand is strong enough to raise the flop, it's a perfect hand to call IP.
