My usual 1-2 NL Big O home game. Mix of players have between $200 - $1,000. Loose players mostly

I call on the button with 2/4/7/8/10. Yeah it's a trash hand I know. Pot is like $18

Flop is 5/6/J rainbow. Loosest player makes it $25, the 2nd loosest player calls and I call.

Turn is a 3 completing rainbow. So I have nut straight with a higher redraw and the 2nd best low. Loose guy makes it $75 and we both call.

River is a brick maybe a King. Same bet on the river of $75 and the other loose guy calls. I make it $200 and the original raiser goes all in and we both call.

Turns out they all had 4/7 and the original raiser also had A/2 so I got 1/6. Ouch. Would you ever just call this river bet or is raising the correct move.

Yes I know calling pre with this hand is bad but the game is so loose I feel I have such an advantage, I'm a consistent winner in the game because people can't fold

Felt like I was quartering though. I guess you have to raise nut high and 2nd nut low

Well, you got what you deserved for playing a very weak hand. Other than pre I play the same.

You had the 3rd nut low. You lose to A2 and A4.

If you knew you had the 3rd nut low and felt like you were getting quartered for high, would you still want to raise?
