I don't know how long the matrix games have been around but I only just discovered them recently while trying to find a way to use my step 3 ticket without entering another steps tournament and they are SOOOOOOOO juicy. Admittedly my sample size is small because they hardly ever run but my ROI is disgusting. (over 100%, ya I know it's not sustainable but I think 40-50% might actually be realistic) Anyway the point of this post is to hopefully drum up some interest for these tournaments so that they run a little more often and I don't have to wait so damn long to get a game in.
Admittedly having a bunch of 2+2 regs joining in might reduce the juiciness but I am willing to take that risk if it will help me get more volume. So come on all you small stakes SnG grinders lets get our Matrix on =)
For those of you who do not know a matrix tournament (which AFAIK only exist on FT) is a single tournament played on four simultaneous tables. The prize pool is split into five and each table plays just like a normal STT SnG dishing out 20% of the total prize pool. The final 20% is then distributed to the top 3 performing players OVERALL across all 4 tables.
I think this format gives an added benefit to any solid player. Sure the superfish calling station might luckbox one tournament but it is the players who consistently perform well that will be picking up that extra 20%.
The bad news is despite my efforts I have not once been able to get a game going higher than $26 buy in and keep in mind that is divided by 5 so it is basically like 4 tabling $5 SnG's. I understand a lot of people here will have no interest given that it is just not high enough to be interesting but if you are already playing the $5's or the $10's I think you should definitely give this a try.

No the player level is lol in these and as detailed above 20% of the prize pool is given out to the most consistent winners making an advantage for skilled players. And the fact they almost never run is precisely the point I am trying to remedy.
