Hi Guys,
I'm playing live in full ring, O8 Limit 2/4$ kill. Generally, I got 150$ in cash in front of me which is not a lot. So I'm generally trying generally to reduce variance.
Always at least 6 persons in every hand preflop with no hand selection.

I got some leaks and I'm trying to work on it . The following hand is a very common configuration, I'd like to make sure my bets are good.

Yesterday, I played the following hand UTG:
As237s

Preflop: I called as I am trying to avoid raising in early position. Ready to call any raise. 6 persons in the pot.

Flop Q89: Check / call (Still 6 persons in the hand)
I have approx. 25% chance to win half pot (6BB).

Turn: Q895: Check / call. I got really good odds, can't be counterfeited on the low if it comes but I'm just playing for half the pot (if not quartered)

Would you play this hand differently ? With 1500$ in front of me I might play it a bit more agressively. Should I raise flop, check raise Flop & Turn ?

Thanks

This is limit. The amount of money you have on the table has nohting to do with the hand unless you might be all in or something (which is not the case here).

In a tougher game, I love limping with hands like yours in order to pull more players into the pot. I will often then back-raise if it gets raised. In a very loose-passive game such as this one, I doubt that your raise will knock people out (if it will, disregard this advice), so I would just go ahead and raise this one up from any position. You also won't get as many backraise opportunities in this type of game because it will limp around more often. Also, while I don't know the specific structure of your game, games at these types of limits often have a relatively high rake, so by raising you make the pot bigger which negates the rake a bit (again depending on if it's capped etc.)

As played, just fold the flop. The pot is very small with no raise. Turn you for sure call.

Regarding the flop, how has the 25% to win half the pot 6 handed been calculated?

You still have no made hand on the turn, and could still have to chop the low, as you stated, if it comes. At this point you are just hoping for a winning outcome.

I would take a more passive line this hand, save some bets and fold on the flop when you miss this hard.

Yeah, flop's a fold. LOL at c/ring. No idea why you'd even contemplate that.

I think it matters here, and you didn't specify, whether there is a spade on the flop and also where the bet came from.

If there's a spade there and blinds check, you check, next guy bets and all call, IMO it is a trivial call for 1 bet when you close the action. It's probably a call in the same situation without a spade. But if the BB or SB bets out and you are next up, you don't know if you'll see the turn for 1 bet or be faced with a raise once you call and that makes it a fold.

I don't get the obsession with your stack size in a limit game. Aggression is meaningless.

This isn't a great hand so raising up front is out. But with a lot of people calling with bad hands, I'm definitely not folding it either. I'm happy to get in for 1 bet, and calling a raise.

On the flop I basically agree with Lucius. After that just play the hand passively and hope for your little slice at showdown. It's more or less about a break even hand, maybe with a little profit.
