I inferred from discussion on this thread that there really isn't a good listing of live FLO8, PLO8, and NLO8 games. Jeff Hwang has a general Omaha list including some O8 that appears to be pretty old. For example, i currently play in a semiweekly LO8 game in Detroit that moved rooms about a year ago, but i don't see Michigan even listed on there.

So, maybe we should compile a list. I'll start. All fixed-limit unless otherwise noted.

USA

VEGAS
Last summer I played a pretty regular $8/16 (can't recall if a kill) at the Venetian during the WSOP. They also had an even more regular $4/8.

I think the Bellagio has $30/60 pretty regularly, but I haven't hunted down the appropriate B&M thread to verify this.

CALIFORNIA
Buzz says Hollywood Park, Inglewood, has a $40/80 and a $20/40 mix with stud 8. I played in a $6/12 with some sort of kill last summer at the Bicycle.

MICHIGAN
Greektown, Detroit:

$5/10 full kill
Saturdays, 7:00 (yes, 7 am) to somewhere between 20:00 and 24:00
Tuesday, 11:00, usually breaks before 17:00

Snookers, Utica
suiteddeuces runs a $1-2 PL game multiple times a week.

I used to play in a $4/8 half kill at the Horseshoe, which had moved from the Gold Strike. This as of 2009.

WISCONSIN:
Potawatomi Bingo and Casino in Milwaukee runs a 3/6 LO8 every Saturday starting at about 9 AM and breaking anywhere from 2 PM to 2 AM the next Sunday morning. Call 414-847-7605 to reserve a seat up to 2 hours in advance.

ILLINOIS:
Hollywood Aurora saw several consecutive weeks of a Friday night 5/10 LO8 with a full kill this spring, but it hasn't run for a number of weeks now. It might be gone until next winter. They used to run a 10/20 game, but I'm told that most of THOSE regs do their own home game now to bypass the rake. Definitely call to check before making a special trip 630-801-7471.

Pair-a-Dice Casino in East Peoria runs a 1/2 PLO8 every Saturday starting at 7 PM, and Tuesday starting at 6 PM. Tuesdays sometimes even see 2 tables running if there's enough interest. Demand for NLHE prevents two tables from running on Saturday. Call (309) 698-6693 early on Saturday to get on the list if you plan to sit at 7 PM.

INDIANA:
Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, IN often sees a 40/80 LO8 game on Friday nights. I'm told that 5/10 LO8 games occasionally run on Saturday nights, but I've never seen it. Call (219) 473-6065
before making a special trip. (As far as low limit players know, Horseshoe spread BOTH kinds of poker, limit AND no limit holdem!*)

TUCSON, AZ

• Desert Diamond runs a $4/$8 LO8 game (with a full kill) pretty much daily.

• Casino Del Sol runs a $4/$8 full-kill mixed game (Stud H/L and O8, with occasional forays into H/L HE) most nights. Lately, it's been pretty dead on Mondays and Tuesdays, but hopefully that will change when the new poker room opens this summer.

Ah yes... IIRC Casino Arizona runs like $4/8 and $8/16 pretty regularly, maybe higher.

I forgot one in Michigan: Palace Poker Room (charity) in Burton, near Flint, runs a $3/6 FK most days that starts around 15:00-16:00. The show from an octogenarian named JR every time he wins any part of a pot is worth traveling from wherever.

Daytona Beach Kennel club -- 2/5 PL08, usually starts by 5 pm. Interest grows stronger as the weekend nears.

RENO - Atlantis spreads 1/2 pl08 on Saturday nights at 6:30 or so
RENO - Atlantis spreads half plo/nlhe 2/3 game on Friday nights at 8 pm

Casino Arizona confirmed to run 4/8 and 8/16 daily with a half kill. Nothing higher unless it's part of a mix. Fort McDowell has 4/8 daily and Wild Horse Pass has 4/8 sometimes. WHP got a 2-100 spread limit O8 game going a few times after Black Friday but it seems to have died off now. Harrah's Ak-Chin regularly has a 3-6 Stud8/Omaha8/CrazyPineapple8 mix. Poker Nation, a strip mall card room, had an amazing 1-2 NL O8 game on Wednesday nights but they got shut down...not sure if the game moved somewhere else or not.

Also, to piggyback on what AKQJ10 said, yes, we have a regular $1/$2 PLO8 that runs every Wednesday at Pampa Lanes, with a $3 max rake. In addition, we run $1/$2 at Snookers in Utica which has turned into about 3 times a week. Big Beaver Tavern in Troy WAS running it, but the fish realized how terrible they were and all gave up.

To the best of my knowledge they don't. I'm going to Segerstrom Hall in Costa Mesa tomorrow (season ballet tickets) and the Hustler is not far out of the way. Usually I stop at Hawaiian Gardens on my way back, but tomorrow I'll check out Hustler to see what they have going. It's not far out of my way. I don't expect to see any Omaha-8 at the Hustler, but you never know. I'll report back.

I think they usually have 3/6 and 6/12, but I've seen higher and lower at the bike. They might sometimes play 4/8.

Only LO8 games in So Cal, no PLO8 unfortunately. These games range from 3/6 - 8/16, and occasionally bigger. The average regulars in these games are retired old men 70+ years old (mostly playing for badbeat jackpot bonus) and grouchy as hell (headphones are a must). Rake is average $5/per hand in these games, no flop then $0-2 depending on the casino. I don't see any of these regulars wanting to play a big bet game, so it seems impossible to ever get any casino to spread a PLO8...

Checked out Hustler on my way home, as promised. There was no Omaha-8. I asked the guy running the sign up list if they ever played Omaha-8. He replied, "No, never. Only Texas hold 'em."

Hawaiian Gardens had three full tables with a short waiting list of $4/8 O-8, an almost full waiting list for $3/6 (but no game), and an almost full waiting list for pot-limit-$100-buy-in straight high (but no game).

Hollywood Park had one full table of $3/6 with enough on the waiting list to start another game. Hollywood Park also had one full table with a waiting list of $20/40 half seven-stud-8 and half Omaha-8.

I'm almost certain the Bike and Commerce had some fixed-limit Omaha-8 going, probably multiple tables and variable limits.

I think that's the gist of Omaha-8 for the Los Angeles area, various fixed-limit games at the Bike, Commerce, Hawaiian Gardens, and Hollywood Park. If anyone knows different, please report here.

Lucky Chances (in Colma) has a 4/8 HK game pretty much every day. From noon on Tuesday until 6 am Wednesday morning, they double their Omaha jackpot, so on Tuesdays they usually have two to four 4/8 games going and one or two 6/12 games (with a 2/3 kill) as well.

The Oaks (in Emeryville) spreads a 6/12 game (with a 1/3 kill) on Thursdays and Fridays only. They might have a 4/8 HK game the other days of the week, but I've heard that their 4/8 game is dying out.

Bay 101 (in San Jose) and the California Grand (in Pacheco) both have 4/8 HK games. I haven't been to either of those places in a while, but I hear regular reports from players I see at Lucky Chances and the Oaks.

Oh, I'm fully aware you won't be finding any PLO8 in LA, or in most areas for the most part. However, some 10/20 LO8 would be great to have regularly!

I visited California Grand for the first time last night and they had a O8 table running. Kind of nice to see on a Monday night. The place was packed and was pretty nice.

I play in a weekly PLO8 game I have started. It's at the Lake in Lake Elsinore CA about 45 min from LA. We play every Wednesday and it's a 5-5 game. Also on Friday is a 5-5 straight high omaha game.
