And the 20-40 at Bellagio is now rare.

And it’s goooooooooooooood.

Is it the same crowd from the old V. and Bellagio games?

If we believe chucksim that the game is good then it can't be the usual regs from the V and the B, that game was always bad

Those games were usually tight, and those games were usually annoying, but some of those guys could self-tilt and make the games good.

But....usually annoying.

Full disclosure, it’s a very small sample size as I’m not a local. But I played two 8 hr sessions last month and there was always at least one (sometimes two) spewer(s) plus a grumpy nit who’d get out of line. These were weekdays, mid-day.

If you can get past the fact that they are mostly miserable folks in Heaven’s Waiting Room, I found the game good.

Was there a fat white guy reading a book in the 9 seat? If you were in the 8, did said fat guy offer to show you naked pictures of his black girlfriend(s)? That's how you know you're with the V/B regs

Damn, I've played with that guy a lot, and he never offered to show me any pictures!

Was anyone here at the recent wsop circuit in Cherokee? Or past Cherokee circuits? Did they spread any o8 such as 10/20?

There is a 20/40 half-kill at the Rivers in Schenectady, NY on Wednesday and Thursday pretty much every week now.

Ooh ooh ooh. We're not allowed to call him by name right? even though everyone who's played mid-limit O8 in Las Vegas knows who he is.

I like him even though he's a tough player. He seems really TAG, more of the AGG than the nits in the game which seems like the correct way to play. For example, he's not open-limping the CO or button, which people do even when the game's super tight. He'd be a good role model for O8 IMO.

Last week as he was racking up from the B 20 to go to the Orleans 15, he announced to the whole table that I'm the best player in the 15 so you know it must be a good game. I liked the humor and took it as a weird backhand/ironic compliment. Or maybe he meant it literally and I'm too dense to know I should be offended, ha.

Also be sure to ask him about the salad bar at the WSOP 75/150 game.

His gf was sweating him at the Orleans 15 the other day.


By the way I found the Orleans 15 only so-so and the Bellagio 20 pretty much a rock garden. I think you could win at a good rate there through aggression but I'm still learning how to be smart about that. Everyone's just waiting on the nuts which means you probably shouldn't just wait on the nuts.

He is a very nice guy.

I'm not a reg in vegas, but I've gone almost every summer for a week in the past 3-4 years.

4/8 and 8/16 fixed limit 5 hard hi/lo was running at Hollywood Park Casino in LA over the weekend. From what the locals told me, the games run all the time.

There is also a weekly FL 5card hi/lo mtt that runs saturday afternoons... and it's cheap ($60 buyin plus one $60 add on... I think it was unlimited re-entry too).

Oh... and a 5/5 half PLO and PLO8 game, too.

JACK Cincinnati - O8 isn't played here anymore ... Horseshoe Cincinnati was a very nice casino, but everything has gone downhill since it became Jack (poker, table games, comps, etc).

The Ruggles Club (Dayton) - The game here moved to the new Ruggles Blue location just north of Cincinnati, but there is a 6/12 HORSE game on Sundays ... $25 club fee to play (each day you play), no rake after that

Ruggles Blue (Cincinnati / West Chester) - The Friday 6/12 Limit O8 HK game is now at the Cincinnati (West Cheater) location and starts around 1-3 pm, goes until midnight or so. $25 club fee to play (each day you play), no rake after that

Shark Tank Poker Club (Columbus) - 10/20 Limit O8 HK on Sunday evenings (starts around 7 pm) .... there is also a 10/20 or 20/40 HORSE game on Wednesdays that obviously includes Limit O8 and a 10/20 OE game on Thursday nights ... $20 club fee to play, no rake after that

Hollywood Columbus - 4/8 Limit O8 HK rarely runs on the weekends and frankly only if there is no promo going on that is dumping money in the NLHE tables .... There is also a $160 $6k guarantee Limit O8 tournament every fourth Sunday of the month. They have struggled to reach the $6k a few times so this might go down or go away, TBD

Majestic Star Casino (Gary, IN) - 4/8 HOSE runs Friday nights at 5pm.

A 15/30 O8 game spreads every day at Prime Social in Houston. The past few weekends it ran 24/7 - they are on Bravo
