Not true.

Yes.

As I already hopefully made clear, I don't like the thread either.

LOL I'm sure you have a lot of my money in your account...How can I get into your fantasy world?

Any time you wanna play HU, just let me know...I'll take some of that Monopoly money that you call currency and convert it into a real currency...

As for the health of the dollar, works well for me...It's helping my country tremendously on the export front and I get to read about the Euros whining daily about their currency being too inflated...Enjoy all your extra goods piling up on your ports...Try to pick up a newspaper every now and again, expand your mind...

Rio,

Poker players are dumb. Even notional winning players can be thick as bricks. Just look at how often they lobby for stakes that will cripple their pool of players (ahem.)

I remember the "great" Danny N once writing that a player he knew was a winning player based on how he played his hands, it was just that he went on tilt and played in games he couldn't beat

bdd

(Small bit of self-aggrandizing wanking - wanking, cmon only brits and aussies use that term! - I wrote about this a 'lil in CPE here http://europe.cardplayer.com/blog/entry/16/2)

Short that was a good response. Youre right, the absurdities in my speech have become more apparent to me lately and I'm working on it. You should email FT asking for Ids chat back and get idiot to email them too. If you want, let me know and I will email them asking for Id to get his chat back. Just tell them it's been a year and hes ready to have it back.

I would really like it if he could chat while he played. Many players have copied the style but I only know of 3 or 4 that actually win $ with it. PEACE

Wow, an offer to play HU for rollz was made on this thread. This is only notable because generally there is an absence of the 'HU for rollz' comments in this forum.

Careful guys, we might sink to the level of NVG if we aren't careful! (I feel like I need a shower any time I peruse that forum.)

To quote an action player at a big live game here who used to play the 2k party game, "why would I want to play with those miserable nits when I can play live plo?" Hi/lo is his favorite game, however the hi/lo regs are not.

I am also curious buzz how you know who I am. It isn't a big secret, just curious. You can pm if you want.
The people you have quoted as your example are rather bad examples. First you use Andy Beal (wow you read the book, who hasnt) and the fact that you are trying to compare random fish from Europe who randomly play and sink their money.
2nd- your example above is from a 2k game, do you think that people playing 2k care about a poker forum about whether they are good or not? I can't believe how often I'm told that I suck at the tables, but it doesn't change anything.
3rd- Listen to what your quote was above, the guy doesn't talk about being insulted or anything like that, he just feels that there is not enough action in o8 relative to plo (isnt this rather obvious). The guy doesn't like the fact that the people are so nitty.
4th- I will not challenge you to rolls or whatever because I don't know who you are and dont really wish to be so petty. You make some good points about how you dont like these threads and think they are bad for the game, but then you go on to make personal attacks against people which basically destroys any possible good that your comments could make.
5th- No matter how many examples you can possibly have of people not liking online o8 players, I bet that the sample size is so insignificant it would not make or break the game. Will it hurt it...maybe, I don't know. But to say that this thread will kill the game or hurt it significantly cannot be said as I cannot say that one thread or something like that will help the game significantly.
6th- This is a forum. Although there are rules and regulations, this is a place for people to talk poker and stuff retaining to poker. There is no cost and nothing that states that you must read it. The great thing about this forum is that they have subject lines so that if you dont think you will like the content of the thread, you can ignore it. Throughout this whole thread, there have been minimal attacks on any people. The only real attacks have been on Idiot29 and rackeback27 and the back and forth with the people who insulted them. However, I think that if you talk to either of them, what people say on this forum will not make them quit the game and will be their decision alone.
7th- While I agree that some people are annoying and jerks and hurt the game, this happens in all games. I think that you are overestimating the power of a thread or a forum. I do not go through and search other forums for possible insults about myself and I don't know who would google themselves just to see what people are saying about them. And if they did, why would they care what some people on a forum say about them. Usually, its just 1 or 2 people saying someone is bad and someone else agreeing.
8th- While I don't think these threads have particularly great merit because they almost always degenerate into a pissing contest, there are much better ways to go about it.
Overall, I think that you should really just think before you type out responses, especially since you rarely post here so as to not polarize everyone against you and destroy anything you are trying to accomplish.

Gimmie a break, the only reason I made the HU 4 ROLZ comment is because his original comment was so stupid to begin with...Who cares what the hell a forum says about your play...

Re: Let's Talk About Regs: Stars/Full Tilt

it's funny that when real hands get posted here, there are usually 2, maybe 3 replies. yet when the subject is the typical repetitive gossip we get 2 or 3 pages of meaningless drivel.

people seriously need better outlets for their angst... maybe a nice pastel finger painting?

I don't know who you are, but I accept if you are serious. I have money on Stars and T6. We can play 10/20, it is euros on T6 so better there.

OK...I thought we would start out at 0.05/0.10, but if you're a big time player we can start at 0.10/0.20...

he plays a little lower (5-10) than 25-50 but i definately think it is possbile it is him considering some players play higher on different sites for whatever reasons.

Anyone play UHave_3_Outs on stars? I have no idea how this guy gets multiple stacks, he is so awful. See my post in the LC thread.

Yes I played a few times against him. I think it says something that he was only shortstacking 2-3 month ago. His post flop play is not that good I agree...
Btw on my database he is a huge loser, so I don 't know.

Re: Let's Talk About Regs: Stars/Full Tilt

Damn guys sorry I suck okay..... I did get some pretty sick stacks that one day but I wasn't even up, that's how bad I am! Thanks for pointing it out! I really appreciate it.
No wonder there are no fish on Stars you idiots just call them out until they wise up and beat you like everyone else. I don't mind losing a little at the tables as I seem to be making up for it with FPPs, but if you guys prefer I can stop 20-tabling and start concentrating on just 2 tables like the rest of you. That way you can find someone new to call a fish and your games will be that much tougher! I'm sure that's a win-win for everyone.

Re: Let's Talk About Regs: Stars/Full Tilt

Unfortunately it doesn't make much difference if I 20-table or 2-table I seem to lose just the same, lol. However, I do this because I am Supernova and with the $1500 VIP bonuses and milestone bonuses past 200k VPP I do pretty well if I can put in a lot of hands and get a ton of FPPs and VPPs. So at least this way I have a chance to win and have been despite my losses at the tables. Go figure. Maybe one of these days I will find a reason as to why I suck at all things poker related. I am working on it.

if you can even come close to breaking even from FPPs you're better than 85% (i pulled it out of a hat shutup) of the players.

but ssshhhh we don't talk about that. everybody's a winnah!!!

Re: Let's Talk About Regs: Stars/Full Tilt

I normally do not out any bad players but uwillgetbroke asked it so I gave an answer. I personally think that threads like this have no effect on the games because the real fish do not read 2p2 they really do not try to get better for the most part.
