A whale is someone who spends extremely large sums gambling (hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars). In poker that would be an extremely big fish.

In this case, according to Toledorio, "whale" is the screen name someone chose for himself/herself.

Will anyone here admit to being Somakid314 on FTP?

I think Ray###### on FTP is the player I least like having to my left or on my table at all for that matter.

Soma is definitely not me, played with him today, seems to do well, but he loves to overshove and seems to do it often enough with marginal hands.

I havent' played with Ray in a while, but he seems to do well. Was up $1K on a 2/4 yesterday. My recollection is that he is quite capable of spewing chips if you can get under his skin, but he may have plugged that.

He's good with few leaks but he's certainly not unbeatable. Reraising his loose preflop bets with pretty low cards usually gets an easy pot post-flop, and if you flop a nice hand, he'll peel a turn card/call down his stack light with 2 pair.

But I certainly wouldn't play him hu. He took down an o8 FTOPS for like 60k$ right?

Ray is a great player he has only been playing plo8 for a year maybe yr and hf.
he used to play limit 3-6 and 5-10 and one night just told us all he had enough of getting sucked out on when way ahead... Haven't seen him since.
Might make transition too;(

was watching maniac at pokerstars go all in every hand (somakid). Some girl Caily12 must of won 600 from him at 2/4 NL. he was pushing with aj67 and always losing tonight. caily12 was running real well as was Kompressor.

IMSponsored didn't use to play anyone that was halfway decent. He has not played me HU in prob over a year. But last week he sat on one of my tables and we went at it. I also saw him playing other regs. DonkeysaurasRex, Ray123456789, amongst others. Maybe his "hunt" is drying out.

Edit: Removed serious response, this thread is lower than BBV content after reading though it all. I do not appreciate being called childish names, nor agree with threads like this (I dont mind odd comments about singular players in LC threads obviously)

Buzz/Truth, will this thread be ended? I think it's pretty much outta order, especially with people talking about trading PT databases (there is a forum/threads already for/against this), and asking for specific information on specific named players etc etc.

IMO This is not really in the spirit of 2p2's O8 strategy forum.
