Not sure where it came from, 08 mtt's?

(did took a shot 2 weeks ago on 3-6 games, and 5-10, but i doubt that it would take 2 weeks for them to get caught)

Anyone else got this email?

PokerStars has become aware of a situation involving a violation of our Terms of Service, to the potential detriment of other players. You participated in games that were under consideration in this case and as a result you may have been adversely affected.

In a case such as this it is our policy to confiscate the balances of the offender(s) and for PokerStars to add funds where appropriate. This compensation pool is then distributed to players potentially affected in as fair a way as possible.

To confirm your credit, please log onto your PokerStars account, go to the 'Cashier' screen and click the 'History' button. Your share will be shown as "REFUND", followed by the amount of the credit.

The integrity of the games at PokerStars is of paramount importance and appropriate action will always be taken when players operate outside the Terms of Service. PokerStars works hard to police the games in order to pro-actively prevent such instances. However, in cases where it is discovered that rules breaches have occurred, the aim is to ensure that any players affected are compensated appropriately.

We regret that we will be unable to answer questions as to how your specific credit amount was calculated. Likewise, we are not at liberty to identify the specific games or player(s) in question. Suffice to say that the offender(s) have been barred from the site and you will not encounter them again.

I think it has come from O8 hyper turbo mtt's. Spoke to a reg on skype about this and he received almost $400 and plays mostly ht's mtt's.

I and another mtt guy I know received money too. I received less than 100 but I haven't put in too much volume in the last few months. I have not played any cash games on stars this year.

It is common belief amongst the few players I sometimes chat to that it is a group of Russian regs colluding. Now I can think of many times when there has been dubious play when 2 of more Russians are at my table and defo soft playing when they are HU.

I, as I'm sure you have a few players in mind who are likely culprits. Stars have likely been receiving complaint about these guys for a long while now and it's greta that they have finally taken action and as the refunds are relatively large there I'd assume that there are a number of players that have been banned. Good riddance to these cheats...

Keep an eye out for which regs in these games are suddenly missing. You can always send 1 cent to anyone that you have suspected to confirm that they are banned. Also keep a look out for new accounts that are playing aggro esp in ht's and report them.

There will still be some of these cheats that have yet to be banned but hopefully this will scare them off.

Stars has had a lot of bad press of late but no other site as security like they do so good work pokerstars!

Oh and if anyone knows the SN of any cheats that were banned feel free to post them.

Received 77 bucks. Thought its from cap but now quite sure that it must come from hyper mtts.

I stopped playing hypers when they introduced chests.

if we are talking about 100+ a reg, we are talking about a team.

It must have taken a long time to calc all those refunds....

They always refund and do the right thing after catching my cheaters, such a shame that sometimes cheaters run with players money but it is what it is

Correct. Some form of multi accounting/sharing accounts that a group of players have probably been doing for a long time. $100 will not be anywhere near what regs have lost in equity by these scumbags but the token is appreciated and more importantly Stars have taken steps to clean up the games.
Hopefully traffic will increase in these games whereby regs and recs have some piece of mind that it's not full of colluders.

I got about $200 back. I only ever play the $27 pko hyper, so it seems pretty likely it was other o8 mtts as well. If we reported every new player that plays aggro in a hyper billy, we'd be reporting like 95% of new players. Ha

Already new Russian accounts turning up playing similar style in regular and HT's.

And yeah I think standard MTT's also which I think I said but it's mostly ht's imo.

I know an HT reg that rarely plays anything else and he got almost 400. And he doesn't play cash.

But the main thing is.....it's a win for players having to play against these cheating ****s. And hopefully stars will continue to catch them. So it would help if everyone keeps an eye out and report suspicious new accounts that have most likely hidden all their playing stats as to avoid people noticing the playing pattern change.

This was not just 1 or 2 guys. This is a large group of them that were caught considering the amount of money handed out. Unprecedented for o8 mtt's

I only play MTT O8 so can not be from cash Belg.

i didn´t get anything but i´m a micro donk that doesn´t play hyper s&gs and i haven´t played much lately
