I don't see a low content thread around so I'll just use this one. Wanted to share a hand I played at Borgata this weekend.
10/20 Limit 08 -- Typical passive game with the usual 1000 year olds
Hero is in MP with T
T
6
6
2 limpers, hero limps, angry horse bettor on hero's left raises, BB and the rest of us call.
Flop K
J
9
We all check to raiser who bets, BB calls, two limpers fold, hero check-raises, AHB calls quickly, BB tank/folds.
Turn A
Hero casually bets again, AHB grumbles to himself for a while and mucks. Hero rarely tries this in limit and wants to advertise for the future so he tables his hand. AHB proceeds to curse under his breath and call down everyone for the next few orbits while shouting to his friend across the room very loudly about the 2 outters he kept taking. Trololololol.
Pre-flop call is terrible (I WAS BORED!) but I'm actually really digging my play after with the blockers in a fit or fold kind of game. Granted the ace was a terrible turn, but thankfully he didn't care for it much. Nobody wants to pay off $40 in a HU pot to someone who obviously flopped the straight and it only has to work somewhere between 15%-25% (depending how you look at it) of the time to be profitable.
