I like to limp but is it good to raise for position I like to limp but is it good to raise for position

Like in the cutoff is it good to raise to try and get the button.
This is more for tourneys also, since the rake doesn't factor in.

I like to limp more in these games in works well for me, as when I do
raise I seem to get respect and 3bet less. But in the CO is it better
to raise and try and get the button, or does it matter. The puck or loose
players will play the same range of hands regardless of whether raised
or not. A raise in holdem will get players to fold hands they will limp for sure
so it works there, like K4s, Q8s etc.

Thanks GL

There are ton of variables that go into these decisions during tournaments, so very hard to say 'yes, it's good' or 'no, it's bad' in general.

Are you basing the raise on pure CO position? Or do you have a range that takes into account times you are 3bet?

ya... I'd say my ? mostly relates to the Cutoff.

I would wonder also if people think its good to raise the CO with
a limper to try & get position as well.

I wish I could compare my stats / winrate to someone else, but the
sites I play on don't allow tracking.

In general I seem to do best just raising premiums. Sometimes I feel
in plo8 or plo that limping brings in the small blind with weak hands also
that can cost him.

Open limping and raising a limper are completely different things. People who open limp CO are nearly always weak players.
