I'd prefer to see the flop for one bet. If someone makes it two, they might have made it three if I had raised.

Tbh it's a speculative call. The hand doesn't connect well very often so I'd prefer to see it for cheap.

I can have better hands in this spot so I don't think it's unbalanced in a perceptible way.

Of course, normally I like to raise when I open in most limit games, but Omaha HL is different when the raise has little fold equity and the hand is going to be multiway very often, such as in the early stages of a tournament as I am in.

So I think call is the most efficient play.

Very well put. I keep raising and three-betting hands like this preflop in cash games, thinking I might have some fold equity, but I still get four or five callers every time.

As for your fold on the turn, unless you have reason to think that your opponent might be doing something tricky or creative here, your action seems standard. You love this flop, but things change drastically on the turn. Next hand, please.

By limping you are giving an easy complete for the SB with most of his range and free look at the flop with all of the BB range for starters. Id say its not more efficient to be limping any position with aces hands

In regards to the turn there are a good number of hands that players will lead without a 4 or boat so its pretty exploitable to fold imo. Ok if hes super tight and never makes any plays for pots ok I guess but otherwise hmmm.

I misread this and didn't realize you were UTG, which makes the limp more reasonable.

But I still think you should raise. High-only hands in general should probably be limped in early position if you play them at all.

But this hand specifically (Aces with two other pretty unconnected high card) I would raise. The fact that you have AA makes the field opponents much less likely to have playable hands, so you have a good chance of getting heads-up with the blind. And this will play better heads-up in position because there are both fewer flops you're going to really like, and also fewer flops you can very easily get away from, than a hand like KKQJds.

While I'm often an advocate of limping in EP in O8, here I prefer to raise or fold. FR maybe fold but here I would raise

Where are you at in your range? I'd need a really good reason to fold here and I think this hand is just too good.

Not raising preflop is really bad. Especially when its 6max not fullring.

Folding turn can also only be correct playing exploitatively.

I don't really think if I raise it gets rid of anyone at this particular moment in tournament. They will call with almost any four cards and almost the whole table will call my raise.

It's funny the focus is on preflop when the decision in question is on the turn but I've been here many years and remember well that's usually what happens, a bunch of guys saying raise or fold pre and talking about the starting hand, and I've been that guy
