Taking rake during the hand is pretty standard, but surely there is a cap and not unlimited 10%? I seriously doubt you're saying they took $500 rake in this hand.

This was my last bigO session (still have nightmares about it and I wake up and say o thank god it was a dream, its impossible to run that bad in real life).

first hand post bb, call a raise 3 ways. comes 68T hh. get in 1500 with A2T89 nut hearts vs 233xx and hearts. comes 3-A. orbit or 2 later get it in v same guy for 1500 each on QTxdd board with QQ and nut diamonds, vs 89834dd and lose to staright flush.

Then we get in 6k 3 ways on K48ss board with KK235 and nut spades. 1 guy has like 44QQx and guy from last 2 has the 2356 and goes A-7 for 3/4

20 minutes later vs same guy have the KKA45 and nut hearts on T23hh K-T board and he has TT .

Then last hand played big pot pre-flop with A2347. comes 237 and get scooped by a wheel.

Sigh. that was like 2 hours in a casino vs a friend fwiw

I confirm this game was indeed crooked if they did not give half of the main pot to the nut low.

The flop was QJ5 with two clubs. Turn 7. River Jack. Final board: QJ57J. The OP had Queens full and lost to quad Jacks (a one-outer). The nut low draw missed.

I’m surprised OP being an Omaha player has never been 1 outed. I can recall every time I go play LO8 how many times I’m 1 outed or the case x card comes out. It happens dude. Just sucks it happen to you in such a large pot.

I don't know if you were cheated or not, it seems possible but unlikely. A few observations:

- I wish I could not remember being one-outered. It happens pretty often, if you play plenty.

- Reloading for the max 2k seems a strange decision. I would have gone somewhere in the 400 - 600 range.

- Ruling out home games is denying yourself the opportunity to play poker where it is most enjoyable. But you have to know that the game can be trusted. I play in two here in Malta and have become friendly with some amazing people, played some fun poker variants, improved my all round poker game and had some super fun times. Oh and been one outered a few times...

I know a guy who plays poker in Malta (let's call him Pietru) who was previously a poker dealer. He is able to manipulate the deck: obviously I don't play in home games where he deals. Once upon a time Phil Hellmuth was in Malta for a poker festival. Pietru was dealing at Hellmuth's table. Pietru has a wierd sense of humour. He purposefully dealt Hellmuth pocket aces three hands in a row, just so that Hellmuth would remember him and so he could tell his friends. He didn't affect the deal in any other way - just gave him AA three hands in a row. Good thing no big pots developed.

At $25 a pot the house AND the dealer is getting so much money there is no need to use the cards to take more.
