It is a live 5/10 game with a full kill. It is a game of all older players who rarely raise without a premium hand. I won a big pot last hand so I post the kill in the sb ($10) and look down at KcJc3c2h. Folds to hj who calls, I check, bb raises to $20, hj calls and I call.

Flop is J74 rainbow, no clubs. Bb leads for $10, hj calls... Now I feel like I am in an awkward spot, should I just fold and not think twice about it? Is folding pre to the raise reasonable?

Folding preflop or folding for one bet on the flop sounds crazy to me. Raising the flop would be much more reasonable than folding.

No, neither are reasonable

You should be acting last preflop btw, not checking to bb

As played call and x/c look standard

Its very difficult to justify folding this even to a very tight opener, with the limp-call hero should not be thinking about it

Ok thanks for replies. I didn't write down the rest of the hand, as it was the flop decision I was curious about (I did call the flop btw)... I just feel like I am up against AA and A2 or A3 100% of the time. I could be wrong, hand didn't make it to showdown I can't say what they had.

Lots of jacks kings threes and twos in the deck though. With no low out yet and the pot odds you're getting you've got to at least peel one.

This is room dependant; in some places the killer acts in turn, not last.

If you read that you're no good for low pre, your hand is not very good and I can see releaing it pre or on the flop. Do you really want to chase for half the pot after the flop knowing it'll cost 2.5 bb knowing you'll vitually never scoop? That's risking 5 sb for 3 sb with one pair or three outs to low. I think it has to be close pre and fold otf. I am somewhat new to this game, but it seems like hidden backdoor draws ruin this hand.

Regardless of your "read", this is nowhere close to a fold preflop. People who defend too tight are the easiest free money in this game. I think I would rather play against someone who folds this hand in the kill or the BB than someone who plays 90% of their hands preflop.
