Courchevel HL - AKJT2

Courchevel HL
9 handed

2 limpers, I (1200) raise to 30 in HJ with AKJT2,
Early (1500) calls, LJ folds.

Early checks, I bet 50, she calls

She checks...

What's the plan here with NF, blocking 2nd NF and no low?

I'm not often betting that turn without the NF because when we are HU 9handed and I don't have the NF, she often has it.

I think I want to bet big here because she can call down a naked A3 or A4 and a small flush and I want max value with Ah3h, I can fold a split turn with the high or with the low when I have a naked Ah3.

Do I need 2 sizings turn? How would you construct your range?

You could easily be getting freerolled here by an A3 with two pair/set. Only reason to bet is to get a worse low to fold like an A4.

Will opponent fold the nut low? If so, it's probably worth betting to scoop. (pot bet).

Wager the Pot and blast non-board pairing river, most players will fold non-nut low draws by river if that is what she has.

Re: Courchevel HL - AKJT2

I'm a simple man, so I would have one sizing.

How bad is she? I mean you are blocking both JJ and A22(3) and with the pre-flop action she shouldn't have many of either. She should often just have something around the J and should be folding a ton considering our blockers. That being said, checking is not senseless either and the hands she folds usually have like 3 outs (J8). I don't think we are going to get c/r:d considering our hand, so I guess I prefer betting.

Large sizing is standard - never smaller than 2/3.

We can check flop sometimes.

Fully agree with pot sized bet in this spot. Repot if board is not paired on the river

Re: Courchevel HL - AKJT2

I'd go for 2/3rds looking to pot rivers. We will be locked up for the high on any non paired river which is about 78% of the time.

Going too big on the turn makes villains fold marginal hands on the turn when the pot is smaller, whereas betting smaller on the turn builds bigger pots for the river while giving villain a weaker range to create more folds in bigger pots on rivers.

We aren't building our sizing strategy around the times we have A3hh, as A3hh isn't the larger part of our range (especially considering we bet this hand on the flop)
