4 limpers, hero in CO raises to 40 with Ac6cKh2h4c
Btn and Blinds fold, UTG calls, UTG+1 calls, LJ calls, HJ folds. 4 ways 175 in the pot

Stacks:

UTG/350 (lag maniac good)
UTG+1/200 (lag maniac bad)

Hero/1200 (tight fish)

Flop: 7s3s2d

3 checks
Hero pots to 175

Yup, need to get it in now.

The real question is what sizing should you choose on the flop? I think potting might be ok if villains are very bad. The problem is that you don't have many hands that have the incentive to bet big, so a smart player easily puts you on A4.

I'm happy if the shorts stacks fold a high hand like KsQsK which has 37% equity. So that's why I choose to pot. However, I narrow too much the big stack calling range. Against him, a smaller bet would be better to keep a wider calling range so I can apply max pressure on later streets.

I think betting around half pot is a better play. Do you agree?

Fold is an option. I think hero needed something like 41% to call, treating the raise as an all in. Hero has 45% vs a4xxx, 39.9 vs as4s, and 37.5 vs a45.

If villain is not jamming a lot of a4xxx with no other equity, call is mostly hoping to be breakeven and will be a small loser often.

I have a pair, a gutshot and some low protection with the 6, so my equity is better
50% vs a4xxx
45%vs As4s
40% against A45

Checking back is an option but I wanted to deny small stacks equity.

It may be a good option since I have no spades in my hand.

You're right, I thought I was in better shape.

If you play pot or check, yes check is a decent option. Just bet small with a wider range and everything will be much easier.

Tough spot.

Call is correct. Nothing is made yet on the high end. Deuce might be winning for all we know.

More ways to get scooped then to scoop, given the action.
