5/5
6 handed

UTG raises to 20, HJ calls 20, I (CO) (700) repot to 90 with AsAc2s7s5d
UTG calls, HJ folds

Pot 210

Flop: KhQcJd
UTG checks, I check

Turn: Js
UTG bets 80

UTG is a young rich kid who likes to gamble but he's smart and plays a lot. He's way too loose preflop, he limps a ton but his preflop range is quite strong when he raises utg.
I only played a few times with him so I don't really know his tendancies post flop.

I think I'm kinda face up and he's bluffing a ton but I also think he's betting AT and AJ.

Would you call?

OK, let's say 25% (So he has A or AA very often like 85%, and you have less outs for a boat)

>>he's bluffing a ton but I also think he's betting AT and AJ. Would you call?
Even if he bet all his hands after your check-back you are behind on this board and probably would not call river bet without a boat. I think it's better to fold.

The problem is that when you check the flop with this holding, you are effectively giving up. I think giving up is fine, he actually has a bit more AT than you since you often have AA (thus one less card) and you have no backdoors at all. You are at the bottom of your range, just give up and move on.

If I call turn, I call river against this maniac.
I had the feeling he was bluffing but I might be wrong and there will be easier spot to catch him later.

If you want to improve, stop feeling that someone is doing something. Well, at least don't center your actions around it. When you have evidence that someone is way over-bluffing or so, make small adjustments.

Think ahead what will happen if you check or bet this board on the flop. Think what blockers you have and where you are at your range.

I think AA is irrelevant for blockers, since you both have at least one A nearly always. He has more KK and as I pointed out earlier, more AT, so this is not a great flop for your 3-betting range. You could have AK to block KK and have a gutshot. You could have AT, AKQ, AKJ, bd fd(s) and so on and so on. Now you have close to nothing and you will always have nothing on the river, thus you are at the bottom of your range. Check flop, fold turn, wp. It doesn't matter if he was bluffing. You just happened to have a hand that you should always give up.
