7 handed
Mississippi 10/5/5

I(1500) call in SB with A466T, BB(500) calls, HJ(700) limps, CO(800) raise to 20, everybody call.

(100)
663

Would you lead here?
If I check, it's unlikely that someone would bet.

I want to have a leading range here, right?

One merit in checking is allowing opponents to hit a boat on the turn.

I think this hand is a mix, but in practice would mostly be exploiting based on opponents overcalling, overbluffing or showing down lighter - we can extract a lot from leaky agressive players

Preflop fold is an option, arguably best.

Yes we do want a leading range on this flop but it is quite narrow. So i will recommend trap 1/3, bet half pot 2/3 - both lines have high upside.

I'd fold pre.

For sure we want a leading range, our range is either strongest or 2nd strongest. I'd bet this hand under normal circumstances, always.

Fold pre, what kind of flop are you...oh never mind
Bet small, try to keep everyone peeling with A2 and KK. No one is ever betting this flop imo

I'm surprised everyone wants to fold preflop here...maybe I've been playing (social home game) too long with the same mules who will call any four cards (literally...there are players who will call raised pots with trips...and not AAA2!)...this hand figures to be neutral EV at worst in my home game. Plus it has numerous nut draws...broadway, wheel, flush, quads.

I'm not saying I'd stack off here, but isn't folding like just playing AQ+,JJ-AA in NLHE? We're not dealt AA23 too often...

AQ+, JJ-AA in NLHE is what, 6% of hands? I'd play around 15% of hands from this position and this hand isn't IMO very close to making even that.

The table was very passive that night, I think I can play more than 15% here. But I agree that this hand is too weak.

Sure, depends a bit on how the table plays, but in theory you need to play extremely tight from SB with a BTN straddle. Probably way tighter than 15% and no limps.

I put A 4 6 6 in propoker tools and got 18...which I assume means 18 out of 100, or top 18 percent?

Obviously not perfect since its 4 card omaha8, but the 10 isn't a complete dangler.

I can see this being a fold in a casino or tougher home game...

The point is not whether we have the equity to continue. We have the worst position with a hand that realizes its equity poorly

Isn't that dependent on the nature of the game? If, like my home game, 5-8 players are calling every hand preflop, then position is less important...it's basically fit or fold?

Also, in a game where people love to donk bet (my game), isn't being in the SB better than say UTG, UTG+1...at least for the flop round? You can check and see what the others are doing...often, in EP, I'm squeezed out or have to fold fearing a raise.

For fit/fold purposes we don’t really fit very often and are forced to fold decent equity often

You do know that propokertools has a 5 card plo8 setting right?

I do now!

Think this was the first time I ever used it.
