Adjusting from PLO8 to Big O Adjusting from PLO8 to Big O

Hey guys,

There's a cardroom not far from me that regularly has a 1/3 Big O game running. I've played my fair share of PLO8 (the 4 card variety), and am interested in taking a stab at the Big O table. What adjustments do I need to make to be successful? What kinds of starting hands should I be playing? How much do relative hand strengths change?

Thanks!

This really depends on the table you're at and how many people go to the flop(s). I still believe any hand with two wheel and two broadway cards and a suited Ace plays best for most situations. Where is this game?

Game is at Manchester Poker Room in NH. I'm mostly curious what types of hands I can expect to go to showdown. I'm assuming the nut low is basically always out with there being 5 cards?

Affirmative on the nut low always being there if there is any significant money in the pot.

Same for the high.

Junk can win small pots but not large.

Even with spewy players.
