I am looking for thoughts on how this hand was played. It feels like there are a lot of hands that can put me in a really bad spot and I am fighting for half the pot the majority of the time. Thoughts?

Standard. I like the flop check to trap if we believe that UTG will bet most of his hands. Then obvious raise and nothing more to think.

Things like "I am fighting for half the pot the majority of the time" are nonsensical. It's not true and it wouldn't matter even if it were true. Only equity matters. Run some sims on propokertools to get a feeling how your hand fares against different hands that are willing to get it in.

I probably just cbet the flop unless I have a strong read that UTG will auto throw in his pot committed stack. Your way obviously could not have gone any better. Not sure what on Earth made SB call your check raise.

It's microstakes...I remember (pre black friday) making all sorts of stupid moves after much drinking, having friends encouraging silly long shot play, and playing for too-small stakes.

Sometimes you just don't care. Or want to go to bed.
