I've always had trouble playing this hand post flop.

Assume the players are pretty loose passive calling stations who are not horrible.

Scenario 1 : Your hand is A23K in a PLO8 full ring 9 handed cash game where everyone has 100-300 big blinds and you pot in early position and get 2-5 callers and the flop is A28 rainbow and the blinds have folded. How do you proceed with Top and Bottom pair first to act? What are you thinking about besides opponent stack sizes, how passive/aggressive they are with made lows/highs, etc...

Scenario 2 : PLO8 low buy in tournament and it is early and you have 40 big blinds and you make it 2.5-3.5bb and get callers 2-5 callers and the flop is A28 rainbow. How do you proceed? What are you considering?

Scenario 1 : I think you hand Lost value on the flop cause it's a multiway pot,you are behind of 345X 2235 2835 A836 A837 A832 and a lot of other hands, I would check Fold

Scenario 2 : I think it's basically the same, do not want to give away your stack early in a tournament, since people tend to be looser at the beginning of the tournaments and call with hands like 2345 3456 5534 etc, differently if you were deep in a tournament, you would have to consider things like, villain range, Stack Pot Ratio, etc.

Agree. Usually a check fold is the way to go especially multi-way and even heads up is never ahead of much if any. Thanks.

2 players vs 5 players is a pretty big difference, as is having 100-300bb's. and is the position of these callers. say you open UTG and it's UTG+1/UTG+2 calling you. i'd consider us to have the range advantage in that scenario and c-betting will have a greater chance of success than if they had called from CO and BTN.

anyway, if you're asking for general advice yeah check/fold is the safe thing to do multiway.

in a 3-way hand i'd be a lot more apt to make a stab on the turn, though. being more shallow would influence that as well.
