Really interested if villians reraise was standard on the river, or a donk play, and if my turn lead was good or foolish.

On to the hand:

Big Blind, no raise 9-9, two crappy cards that I forget.

Flop: 10-9-4, rainbow.

Small blind checks, I bet, couple of calls. including small blind.

Turn 9. Check, I bet, folds to small blind who pops me.

I flat. River, not a 10, so total nuts. He leads, I raise, he 3 bets, I 4 bet, he shrugs and flats. He had 10's full.

I was chatting with the fellow, nice guy who is pretty solid player. He was better player than me, but I don't think he would put me in the donk category who would raise a under full there.

My only real combo's are bluff with a wrap (very odd play, but maybe), 9-9 or 10-9 and 3 ten's are gone.

Please note, we are not playing 80-160 where leveling is going on.

So, was his 3 bet on the river spewish, and long term, should I just check turn when I hit Quads with no low draw? Obviously, if low draw is present, I think you must bet monster high hands 100% of the time.

if you want to make money you should almost never check the turn

opp's raise is like a billion % standard. doesn't even remotely go into category of spew, and fact that he stopped raising after his 3-bet tells you that as well.

haha. Okay!

I thought leading turn was right.

Though his check raise turn was right.

Speed with with I raised him, I don't know.

it's 6-12. I didn't want to punish him.

Now that I think I about it, he reraised my bet.

Think we went 6 or 7 bets.

I mean, the 6-12 game at parx is kind of friendly.

Most people just call fearing the nuts. and the guy with nuts doesn't try to punish.

well you're not exactly leading the turn. you bet the flop then you're just betting again on the turn. leading has the connotation that you're betting out when someone else had the betting initiative on the prior street. correct me if i'm wrong about the action. either way it's what you want to do.

his c/r is good. i'd probably just raise again here in your spot though.

river should go him betting, you raising, him raising again, you raising again, and him probably just calling at that point.

if he's a good player then he should know that in 6/12 people will be doing all kinds of stuff here in your spot. i understand the instinct to think about where you are at in your own range at this point but he doesn't know that, and at 6/12 he shouldn't be putting you on this hand until multiple bets go in.
