Hate to bore you with another one of my awful questions that might be a no-brainer.

837 players in the OSS#6 on ACR. $40,000 guaranteed, $55 buy-in PLO8 6 max.

129 players remain, 126 paid, currently 116th. 6K/12K blinds. 69,772 stack.

Dealt A

in cutoff. Folded to me.

Loose button has 372,772. SB has 101,284. BB has 119,909.

Obvious shove? Or fold and hope to sneak into money?

**I've already lost most of my stack with two previous double suited AAlo hands so that is in my head.......*

Yeah, I'd fold without blinking an eye. Change the Q to any wheel card and I'd just go with it. To me, something like AAA8r is interesting but I think I'd lean towards folding.

I did end up folding, simply because of no low card. But I wasnt sure if it was the correct play, or I was playing scared. Ended up making it all the way to 42nd place as well, but unfortunately losing it all in preflop with A

Fairly easy fold, especially with loose btn.

Ripping from the btn might be ok though given sb and bb stack sizes.

I think most of the time you want the fold.

If you're going for the win and don't care about min cash you have to gather chips at some point, but is this the hand to try with?

Me neither, but it's exceptionally close to the money at this point. I know that a fair number of fold any hand spots come up in omaha bubbles.

Yeah, but in PLO the ICM-pressure is a lot higher, since getting it in leads to busting out nearly 50% of the time. In the split pot version it's something like 30% I guess.

Thank you for the replies. I honestly wasn't sure if it was an 'obvious fold' or 'obvious shove'.

It was the loose button that stalled me honestly.

Yes I know. Busting is such a mathematical catastrophe, though. Like to me this hand is a VERY clear fold - the question is whether or not its an any 4 fold.

OK. Still a bit misleading to mention "omaha bubbles" as they are completely different (I am assuming by omaha you mean PLO). I agree that this is a clear fold but I also think AA23ds is a clear getin. I would be delighted if someone proves or attempts to prove I am wrong.

Ah yes, I kinda guessed this after writing my 2nd response. On your continent Omaha seems to mean both Omaha games, NL/PL/fixed, while on my continent when people say Omaha they seem to mean PLO.
