4/8 live game
Hero has position...
MP bets, hero limps w/ A24T unsuited, SB calls, BB checks
Flop: A-2-5 All diamonds
SB bets, fold, fold, hero?
Villian is a regular, generally tight, but certainly could bluff once hoping to take down pot right away
Easy fold? Pot too small to fight over? Or does hero call one bet to see turn? How do you handle villain betting in to 3 flush board in general, when you hold 2pair or top2 ? What abt prefop call, weak?

He led into two people when a wheel and a flush are already out there in a pot too small to peel a turn card. Zero chance he is bluffing! Fold.

If he was last to act a call is more justified than here but still way too spewy to be justified. It'd be hard to call down unimproved.

As an aside, when your hand is rainbow you ought to consider raising preflop if you think it will get the pot heads up or three way like in this hand. With less players in the hand your scoop frequency will increase. For example top pair or two pair will be good for high on possible flush or straight boards.

Thanks. I did fold FWIW. Felt like a nit, tho. I guess the hi only improves w/ the 2 aces & 2-2s. And yes, I hear you that unsuited can play better against fewer opponents, or raise to weed out non-premium flush hands.

Days I am playing well, it is super easy fold if I don't have very good read on my opponent.

Days I am playing poorly, or card dead, I probably through in a call.

if you have any second thoughts about folding this hand here it also means you play way too loose against bettors betting against strong boards. and almost certain disaster for your bankroll especially if you move up in stakes.

So Ray, what's a good source of post flop fold strategy? I may be far too loose but woulda thought 2pr,- 4 to wheel, would be more of a pot-size decision, than a clear fold?

best is to figure out what part of the pot you are playing for and what you think your chances of getting that part. then see what or if there is overlay odds for you to play on.

here for example it is obvious, you likely are facing a flush or a lock or strong low or both.
pot is small so why play on. and all your draws can be dead or to a tie.

SNAPFOLD especially because he bet OOP into 3 players, you should give ihm credit.
Without Flush or Wheel, I would even fold AA in that spot.
it's only my opinion and I'm not a pro... but I try to avoid getting freerolled, especially if the pot is small and I haven't yet committed many Chips in it.
By the way your hand is marginal both ways High and Low.
