BU : $ 700
SB (Hero): $ 1200
BB: $ 750

Pre Flop: (pot: $9.00) Hero has A A 6 5 3
BU calls $6, Hero raises to $24, BB folds, BU calls

Flop: ($54, 2 players) 7 5 4
Hero bets $54, BU raises to $162, Hero all in, BU calls

New hilo, newer to 5 cards hilo(only game running for my site).

Villain is not reg but plays a tight style on hilo (Big O he is very splashy)

with that said, overly aggressive play on my part? I dont feel he has nut low since he limped on the bu but he could limp trash A2xxx.

Man.... any general advise on hilo? tbh i am doing well at big O but i really want to add more games to my repertoire.

Against a reasonable player you are never getting it in good on that flop and SPR=13. Both in this hand and in the other you posted you are making huge bets when you don't really need protection.

Yup you can fold this flop to a raise from a rock

Vs laggier players bet/call and bet/jam are on the table

I would also advocate both checking and other cbet sizings, as more profitable than pot.

Mainly I'm saying that you don't NEED to have any pot sized bets on such boards. In this hand both checking and a small bet are much better than potting.

This flop is a check/fold or check/call if small bet and heads up, and against a loose player.

One huge leak in PLO8 (or any big bet hilo game) is overplaying 2nd/2nd...I see it all the time, and people always say "I thought one side was good" as the other player scoops all the chips.

BigO is a nut game...the only card I'd be happy to see on the turn is an offsuit deuce.

Yikes. Jamming here is really bad. I’d imagine btn has at worst a hand like A2 with some sort of high equity like a set, 6 with a card 4, 5, 7 and hearts, etc.
