Thinking my opponent is playing either a set w/rag low, or just trailing along with nut low and gets CF on river. I really didn't know what to bet. Playing to many games so I just maxed it.

Anybody have a better size river bet based vs set with A5? I thought making the spade would be an action killer, or I just get 1/2.

Chill out wackjob. Seems like a valid questions to me. I don't like betting max all the time. Betting max all the time typical means I'm losing max when called or winning min when they fold.

I wanted other players opinions on selling hands.

Obviously the choice on the river is whether to make a max bet or whether to make a suck bet.

It helps to know your opponent here. The max bet probably won't fold out any hands that are beating you (some people would fold a middle flush or an A5 to a max bet, some wouldn't). Similarly, some people would pay off a max bet here with a straight.

Generally speaking I usually max bet but sometimes suck bet in these spots, but i think this particular one tends more towads a suck bet because you aren't buying many folds. and there aren't many credible hands that will pay off a max bet. (Nobody folds a naked A3 here).

Do max-bet if playing against a herocaller

Bet max on the river to try to try to get the villain to fold half the pot. I'm not a fan of the flop bet though.

I like the turn bet and I think the river bet is fine. You might have induced BB to fold a hand that might have beaten you either way.

I'd play the first two betting rounds a bit differently.

how do you overbet in pl? I'm not potting the river there.. you have a big 2 way hand, and you're not getting him to fold 1 way hands that are better cept A5. I want to get called there so I bet like 12
