Playing in an online Big O8 game, where I bought in for $100, and have spun it up to $180.37. The stacks at the table are incredible for a $200 buy-in game, as I'm the 2nd shortest stack, with $419, $1245, $293, $973, $336, and $416 elsewhere. $1000 pots and pure aggression are standard.

I'm UTG, decline the straddle, and pick up;
AA235 and raise to $1.75. UTG+1 calls, 3 fold, BTN calls, SB calls, and BB folds.
FLOP ($7.50): 294
SB checks, Hero bets pot $7.50, UTG+1 re-raises to $30. Hero calls. Other 2 fold.

TURN ($67.50): T

RIVER: ($202.50): A
Hero checks and UTG+1 .... checks behind (drat).

Feel free to comment on all streets, but does anyone think I should shove the river? Bet it small?

GII flop is certainly fine. I assume you check-called turn, which is good. You have only half pot behind on the river and yes, you should bet it.

Hard to tell how much a guy would call river with, not having a 35.

I would have probably bet turn (even after flop raise) -> nut flush draw, wheel wrap, aces,

Is this pokerstars? and what is max buy-in?

Whoops! Forgot to mention I bet the pot ($67.50) and was called on the turn.

It's not PokerStars, rather it's a private game played through an app. Cash settlements are handled... offline. Max buy-in is $200. It seems that some people are paying up front, while others that the operators/agents trust can operate on credit.

Betting the turn is not good IMO. Just check your whole range, since villain was the aggressor on the flop. You could also make a case for check-raising the turn.

i put in some sims a couple weeks ago but lost the info. basically against virtually every assortment of hands willing to raise the flop, i had us at 51% equity on the turn. personally i'd just c/r there all day. i'm wondering if that's suboptimal? as it doesn't seem to be predominantly suggested action.

also, why is leading turn bad? i mean i definitely never randomly do it because i like to add the threat of a c/r to my check range. but against villains who will bet with high frequency OTF then check back turn, it has to be a useful tool, no?

fwiw i probably try to get it in OTF. and as i mentioned i prefer turn c/r. as played i lead half pot OTR. an ace is one of the worst "bricks" he can hit. it just gets checked back way too often.

moreover, i feel like a river ace that completes a wheel makes people super suspicious and you get looked up with a very high frequency.

oh i didn't realize what stack sizes are OTR. ya just put the rest in. but if i had more than pot left there i'd mess with different bet sizes.

Yeah, I'm familiar with it. I don't believe that's the case, but I've deleted the app as I've concluded I'm just not good enough to beat these guys. It seems like whenever I GII, I'm always on the wrong end of a freeroll, & if I'm on the right side, I miss. OR if I'm ahead, they catch. Bottom line, nothing I've ever read seems to apply to these games, as people buy in for max, call PSBs with ridiculous hands, and get there. I can't afford to be the table fish.
